To call this place a "dive" is an understatement. Not to mention, it offered some of the rudest, most apathetic service I've ever experienced.
I stopped there because it has a dog friendly porch, and I had my dog with me. I was summarily ignored by two members of the wait staff who walked past my table multiple times without greeting me or otherwise acknowledging my presence. I eventually just got up and left.
I should probably feel thankful, because I can't really afford a trip to the emergency room to treat the case of food poisoning I would inevitably contract from this god-awful hole anyway. Rest assured, I won't be back anytime soon.
3.5 stars for the Red Lion Pub.
The food is your standard pub grub and the beer selection is decent. Â Prices are also consistent with other beach bars in the area. Â This seems like it's a place for locals to hang out and won't appeal much to tourists or those looking for a gastropub or anything other than a cold brew and cheap eats. Â They also have daily specials like an all-you-can-eat prime rib dinner for around $14. Â Our friends told us their pizza is hit or miss, but when it's made right it's really good.
Nothing wrong with this place, but I don't see us coming back unless our friends who live in the area invite us over again.
