Driving across Colorado - and the pickings are slim. Determined to NOT eat at a BK or McD, I hit up Yelp for a local favorite - and I was very happily surprised. Huge drinks, very tasty food, and smiling service made my lunch stop a winner. There's a small patio out front (it's a quiet street), and the decor (down to the bright-colored plates) is very sweet. I had the chicken fajitas and my son munched away happily on the tacos. The guacamole was fresh, my dish was nice and spicy, and we were back on the road in no time at all. Â There aren't many choices on I-70, but this is a win! :)
Review Source:Not bad for Mexican food in the middle of nowhere, but not good in comparison to good Mexican food. I had the carnitas tacos and some rice. The rice was flavorless (and somewhat stale), and the carnitas, though plentiful, was a bit dry. To top it off, there was a sign that said "99 cent tacos for the summer," but when we got our bill the waitress said it only applied to beef tacos...definitely NOT on the sign.
Anyways, the food was ok. I'd recommend it over the local Arby's.
