    AWESOME FIND!!!!
We followed the advice of the yelp community and WOW! they were right on.
"Food was excellent. Fish was fresh, sauces were flavorful but not heavy. Food was serves hot and the staff was welcoming. We are adding this to our favorites."

We will go again on our next trip..

My husband and I are at the Rhythm Cafe at least once a week.  The food is amazing.    The atmosphere is relaxing.  I can go with my hair in a pony or dressed up and I feel comfortable.  The sisters (and their mom) are wonderful.  I feel like I'm at a friend's house for lunch or dinner.  When I brought my aunt last weekend, she was floored.  She was convinced there were no restaurants like that outside of California!  Love, love, love this restaurant.

Probably my favorite resturant.  The food and drinks are delish, and the atmoshpere is fun and relaxing.  My friends and I probably meet her 3-5 time a month.  The pesto and bread is amazing, and main courses are delicious.

We do lunch, dinner and take out from Rythym Cafe.  The food is outstanding...we love the chicken orzo soup and the chopped salad and every entree we've ordered has been excellent.  Sometimes the service is a little slow but everyone is friendly and accommodating otherwise.

The interior decore is very plain and stark. The overall space is quite small with only a dozen tables/booths. There is a line of stools at a counter that overlooks the kitchen.  Service is casual and unprofessional. The menu has all the standard items for fish, beef, chicken and pasta but their preparations are very unique and eclectic. I had the veal Marsala. The veal cutlet was excellent and the pasta and asparagus was good but the Marsala sauce was waterery which ruined the dish.  On the other side my wife had the cidar chicken which was good.
Overall I would say I would come back one more time and hope for a better experience

VERY cute place. Pretty decent food. Maybe a bit over priced, but I'd go again.

Love this place!  My husband and I went there last night, I got the antipasto fettucine and my husband got the veal dish - last night it was piccata (changes daily).  They don't stay open really late, I'd say most diners are done by about 8:30.  Everyone is really friendly and though the furnishings are sort of blah, the food delivers!

Just ordered lunch from here, and my wife picked it up using their old bank teller "drive thru" window.

We ordered the Fettuccine Carbonara and substituted the shrimp for grilled chicken.  Wife says it was one of the best dishes she has had in a long time!  I got the Tuna Wrap and we shared a chicken & bacon Quesadilla.

This place is not to be missed!

I've been to this restaurant at least a half dozen times by now and I've got to say it just impresses me every time!  I've gotten something different each time I've gone and my meal has always been not just something I liked but something I was sincerely impressed by.

As another commenter noted, the scallops are absolutely fabulous.  They always have a new soup to try and their specials are always timely and cater to the season.  The cakes are on a great rotation but you can't go wrong.

The sisters that own the restaurant are just so funny and they know the people I usually go with by name.  There's nothing like a fabulous meal prepared by a family restaurant!

What a refreshing surprise in Merrimack Square!  In a 60's era bank - a casual bistro with open kitchen and a friendly, outgoing staff.  The food was simple and delicious...hang at the bar and have a cocktail and watch them prepare the food. Have the Spinach Dip or Chocolate stout cake.  I will return the next time I am visiting my family in MA.  As good as many NYC restaurants I have been to.

We went here for the first time with friends last week and it was absolutely wonderful. I loved everything about it. The atmosphere was really comfortable and diverse. It's the type of place you can go w/ a girlfriend to have appletini's, w/ friends to watch the sox game, for a romantic "date night" or to eat a quiet lunch while reading a book. Loved the red bench and the sage green color on the walls. We went for dinner and there were little white tea lights lit. Also, when you walk in, there is an area where they are selling locally made jewelry and greeting cards. The whole restaurant is decked out w/ local art on the walls. We started w/ the spinach and artichoke dip and it was great. It came out bubbling and the consistency was nice, not super salty either. I have the chopped salad w/ the buttermilk basil dressing- YUM. They use such nice ingredients like pine nuts, avocado, couscous etc. Oh and we also started w/ a nice soda bread w/ a basil oil dip- so good. My husband had the parmesean crusted scallops and I tried one. It was so sweet and tender, no sand whatsoever. Our friends had the salmon and the tomato caprese pasta. Everything was sooooo good and fresh. We ended the meal w/ their homemade bread pudding and peanut butter pie. I've been thinking about the pie since I left- it was the best dessert I have ever eaten.
I HIGHLY recommend trying this restaurant, I can't wait to go back. I had never heard of it and most people that I've talked to haven't. It's a jewel right in the heart of Merrimac, MA.

I gotta say, I'm downright impressed by the new restaurants in Merrimac. Went here with a few friends on Saturday night for drinks and dinner. The last time I went there it was a doughnut shop. It had been a doughnut shop for most of my childhood, and before that it was a bank. It ceased to be a doughnut shop when Dunkin Donuts moved in and bought out their lease.

Well, they didn't change the furniture or the layout, just put in some nice decor and redid the kitchen. They don't have a big bar or a huge selection, but there is something for everyone. For me, there was Knob Creek. Drinks aren't cheap (7.75 for my bourbon) but pours were generous, and the Sam Adams was only 3.50. Unfortunately they didn't have any beer worth drinking (screw you Boson Beer Company! You're not a craft brewery dammit!)

The food was another story. I had the special, a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus for $20. It was really good, and generous portions. Not overdone either (I asked for medium rare on the rare side, got medium rare on the well side, which is what I've come to expect). Desert was a brownie sundae, warm gooey ice cream goodness. I cleaned my plate quite thoroughly.
