Love this place! My friends and I come here for breakfast often. The menu does not have a lot of variety but the food is great, comes quick and is cheap. Sometimes the staff aren't that great but usually they're friendly.

They act like it's a gift to serve you.  Owner made a point to tell me i shouldn't eat there if I  spend less than $10.  Told me on the way out.  Also, told me that this "isn't Starbucks".   Will not be going there again. Will also help him out by telling friends, family, and clients not to eat there if they are spending less than $10.

Rich's Other Place has been a go to breakfast spot in Lower Gwynedd for quite a long time.  The restaurant occupy's a small building just off Bethlehem Pike.   The parking lot is right along the road so as soon as you arrive you can tell if there is going to be a wait.

As you walk in the front door there is a counter to the left and the main dining area to the right.  The main dining area is small but they turn it over quickly.

On the weekends you would usually arrive to a line almost out the door.  Since the new addition of their outdoor patio that long line has almost disappeared.  During the colder months the line will return but the good news is that it moves pretty quick.

The menu has all the normal breakfast items and includes multiple combo meals.  On the weekends you can find Rich himself working the register.

Rich's keeps the food simple and consistently good.  If you want a good breakfast for a reasonable price Rich's is worth the trip.

Rich put a beautiful new outdoor patio on, come and check it out and enjoy the view.

As long as I am in the mood to write about breakfast, I can't overlook my neighborhood staple.  A little place on the main drag in Spring House, Rich has been here for years.  And one thing that can be certain, the food is the freshest and the coffee the most flavorful.

If you are lucky enough to get Patty as your waitperson, you will have the best server there as well as the nicest.  The others definitely have attitude, one always hurried, another always talking to patrons and ignoring their tables, etc.

The eggs are the freshest possible, the omelets are average at best.  The bacon is very very good if cooked correctly, depends upon the cook of the day, but the serving is big and the bacon tasty, so I risk the prep.

The bagels are as good as can be outside of NYC, but the other breads, ehhh, not so much.  Homefries are only good when requested well done, and that is only for the top layer, the rest of the potatoes sit, alone, abandoned on the plate, swept to an early grave.

Not the most comfortable seating, hard Formica, but then again, it's breakfast, and it'll wake your ass up!

This is really a diner in disguise.  Food is a good value and from the looks of it the staff has been there a long time giving the joint some of its character.  Had breakfast one day and lunch the other.  Lots of regulars.  I'm sure we'll be back.  If anything its pretty convenient.

    Brunch brunch and more brunch!

Saturday morning cannot go wrong at Rich's Other Place.  Settling down with a hot cup o'joe (with free refills that keep on coming!) and satisfying brunch/breakfast items will send your work week woes to the farthest corner of the earth, especially when you're with good company who have known you forever :-) But hey, I would take/go with non-residents to Rich's too! In fact, I took a friendly face from Boston to eat at Rich's for cups of coffee and simple food. Having him as company at Rich's was really special to me because he is an inspiration wherever he goes, and that includes Rich's :-).

The following is a repertoire of the food I've eaten:
    1. Stuffed French Toast: YOU NEED TO TRY THIS DESPITE HESITATION.You will be stuffed, but happily so.
    2. Mexican omelette (special item): savory breakfast items are usually what my taste buds crave, so this omelette hit a high score with the various cheeses, eggy goodness, and then some.  Actually, I've been happy with any of the egg+meat+cheese specials at Rich's. And please please please don't forget the home fries!
    3. Hot turkey sandwich: oh wait, I've had lunch here too! But...i'd still say to head to Rich's during the early hours for maximum scruptuousness.

Yup! Rich's holds the key to my hungry hungry heart.

Not a very clean place and needs a major update. Food is average at best.

Now I've never been to the original Rich's place (which is likely a cardinal sin for people in my locale) but we were running some errands and I'd always heard about the breakfasts at Rich's Other Place. Cheap, and homey.

That's pretty much exactly what they were.

Now, if you're a sufferer of ..well...tush issues let's just's say...fair warning, the booths are hard plastic. Barring that, it's spacious and very clean. We were sat facing the window into the kitchen. I got a kick out of how the staff seemed to get along and work really well around one another at such a busy time of day.

The waitresses were nice (Short and to the point, but not rude about it.) The coffee was great, and quickly filled. It was a Friday morning at around 11am, and we both got one of the five dollar breakfast specials. VERY good deal. I got sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns and four pieces of rye toast for just 5 bucks and a bit of tax. The boyfriend got the same (save the side of scrapple I'm always guilty of, which was perfectly cooked by the way.)

Our bill ended up being about 12 bucks total for two very filling breakfasts.

My only food criticism is the hash browns, which tasted a bit old. Sort of like they'd been frozen and re-thawed?

The boyfriend described the rest of our meal as "something you're grandmother would make you if you came over for breakfast". No frills, very homey. I'd recommended this for about 2-4 people who wanna grab a quick bite in the Springhouse area.

Make sure you get there early, they're only open till 2pm most days and I believe they may stop seating early.

Small dinner (seats about 60), great food at a good price. I've personally have had almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. Only open for breakfast and lunch (til 2pm) during the week and breakfast only on the weekends. Service is great and friendly. A must go for anyone looking for a good bite.

OK like i said prior Rich's Other place had become some sort of an obsession, but that quickly turned sour a couple Sundays ago. The place only has a couple waitresses, one with long hair and one with short. The short haired lady has always been cold, but whatever, that's just her style, it doesn't matter too much to me cause I'm not looking for a friend. But on this particular Sunday, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The place was almost full with only two tables left, one by the window by itself and the other is sort of in the middle of the floor and a older gentleman came in and the hostess told him to grab a seat. He choose the one by the window, which I need to add was a bit of a bigger table. Well, the long haired waitress come barreling over and tells him he cant sit there. She then tells him they need to save the bigger table for when bigger groups come in, there was no one else there yet, am I right in this situation it should be first come first serve. She was berating him and it was embarrassing to her, to him and kind of to all of us in the restaurant. I don't know but I personally think you cant tell a guy to pick a table and then tell him he cant sit there and then raise your voice to the customer. The old guy said he wasn't going to eat here ever again and he left, it made me feel bad for the entire day, poor little old man by himself getting treated like that. Well I haven't been back since and I'm not sure I will be.
