Since I'm from Chicago, I have pretty solid ideas of what a pizza should taste like. Â Rockydale is the closest I've come since I moved to VT. Â All other pizzas seem to be oily messes without enough ingredients and bland sauce.
I've never eaten in the restaurant, so I can't say much about the service but the people who I deal with at the counter are always good to deal with.
Ate here over the weekend (Saturday night) and was very dissapointed. Â I wanted to try their new buffet, but it wasn't set up - on a busy Saturday night! Â I ended up ordering chicken parmesan with the "salad bar" - I knew that my entree was not going to be homemade - I asked. Â What I didn't realize is how poor their "salad bar" is - there were about 6 choices, including warm potato salad, maybe three bean salad, and a few other non-homemade options. Â The only "salad" items were warm lettuce and onions. Â There wasn't even any salad dressing! Â The croutons were pre-packaged in little plastic containers, and they tasted plastic.
My chicken parmesan was as expected - I knew that it probably wasn't going to be great, and I was correct. Â I should've gone for a burger, which looked really good.
I don't think it's difficult to make a good salad bar. Â I was really not impressed!
