So we arrive at 10:55AM and there is a wait person bringing an outdoor umbrella out to the curb side tables. We ask if they are open and he replies that they will open in a few minutes at 11:00. So we stand outside and after installing the umbrella he asks if we are going to eat inside. We say yes and he says we are welcome to take a seat inside. We enter the door and are greeting by a lady who asks a couple of times if she can help us and says they are not open. We explain the fellow said we could come in and wait and she curtly replies "We are not open!"  Remember now it is maybe 11:56 or 11.57!!!
We exit the restaurant and stand there maybe 30 seconds while my blood pressure goes up thinking about just how rude these folks are. Come on, 4 minutes early and you can't let me sit down until you decide you are ready to wait on the first customers of the day!
Walked less than a block and found a great breakfast and lunch diner that got our business this morning and will continue.
Not returning the Roxx to get treated rudely again!

Cute place in downtown Martinez.   I've only dined here once, so for now I'll give 3 stars in hopes of raising to a 4 or 5 in the future.  The food is fresh and tasty.  The service on the other hand left a lot to be desired.

I went today for lunch with a friend.  Walking in there is no hostess stand or signage directing customers to seat ourselves.  We are also not greeted by any employees so we walk around the tables and decide to just have a seat.  We wait to be acknowledged or handed menus.  After a couple minutes a waitress comes over to wipe down our table and bring menus.  There were only 3 or 4 other tables occupied at the time.

We sit for about 10 more minutes reading the entire menu two or three times and chatting about what to order.  Never once asked if we wanted a drink on this warm summer day.  Finally the waitress returns and we order our meals and drinks all at once.  The food comes out in a timely manner and is delicious.  We had sandwiches, salad and a soup.  All very fresh.  While we enjoyed our meal the service lacked greatly.  We also had empty drink glasses for the majority of our meal.  At one point the waitress noticed and claimed she was brewing more iced tea, yet not 2 minutes after that a woman at the table next to us was delivered a fresh glass of tea?  So annoying since I was coughing and would have liked at least a glass of water while I waited for tea.   After we finally got our drinks refilled, we were handed the check and  never offered dessert or more refills.  We wanted both but gave up at that point.

Overall disappointed with the service but not discouraged from giving this place another try since the food was good and the menu fairly expansive.  Although not many tapas? Maybe because it was the lunch menu.

The food is really good.  Sometimes it takes them a while to get it to you.  It's also not the most affordable place downtown.  But the food is tasty.
