We've always wanted to try Ruby Tuesday, but this was the wrong one to try! The server was pleasant but didn't know the answer to our questions about the menu (but she might have been new). My husband and I ordered burgers and we were told they each came with two sides, so we chose our sides. Â A few minutes later the server came out and said that we only get one side and that two sides with the meal were only available after 3 p.m. I joked that at least it was cheaper and she said it was the same price. Â After she left the table I looked at my watch and it was 2:55 p.m. Can they really not make an exception of 5 minutes, especially when our food didn't come until about 30 minutes after we ordered? Â
My son ordered the kids' Cajun Fried Shrimp. It came out about 10 minutes before the rest of the food and the shrimp was overcooked (almost burnt). My son asked for tartar sauce and it took another 10 minutes since the kitchen staff had to "make" some. Â It was gross! We didn't use it.
My husband's Smokehouse Burger, ordered to be cooked "medium,"came out well done. Â The "onion rings" that were supposed to be on the burger was one tiny onion ring that was about 1" in diameter. Â It looked like a joke (remember those "where's the beef" commercials?...it felt like "where's the onion ring"). The mashed potatoes, while they tasted good, looked old. He had also ordered no pickles and he got pickles. Â My Triple Prime BACON Cheddar Burger also came without any bacon and it took me several minutes until the server returned to be able to send it back.
I think the worst thing about the amount of time it took to get our food, was that there were only about 3-4 other parties in the whole restaurant. Â What are all of those employees doing back in the kitchen? From the slow delivery of our food, to the tiny onion ring that came on the open-faced burger on the plate, everything we experienced said to us, "we really don't care if you have good food or a good experience at our restaurant."
We will not EVER return to this location!

A few weeks ago we came to this Ruby's service was ehh ok nothing special food was good though and I didn't use the restroom and since the food was good service not horrid I decided to take my in laws visiting from out of state out for dinner and all I can say is embarrassing as I hang my head down in shame. 1. said 20-30 min wait turned into 45min wait ok I can deal with that. 2. Took forever for server to bring our drinks. 3. Restrooms poop in toilets fly's everywhere like it was there breading ground, no soap no paper towels had to wipe my hands on pants. 4. They brought the kids meal out first which I normally don't complain about as I am assuming my food will be arriving shortly but 10 min for mine and my husband  min later my husbands grandparents than 5min after that my mother in law got her food than 10 min after that my older son and father in law got their food. 5. When they brought my father in laws food they forgot his side of mac & cheese so now had to wait for that and drink refills. 6. They don't have teaspoons only big serving spoons like huge so you have to bring your own from home if you have kids like toddlers to eat mac & cheese. Our food was good but wasn't worth the long wait and not being able to eat all together the purpose of all going out to a sit down place is to eat and enjoy time together etc. and I'd like to wash my hands and not to attacked by flies in the process. So I'd advise anybody to keep driving on by there are lots of places in Lexington you can go to.
YUCK YUCK YUCK!!! Long story short: Â took 20 minutes for the server to initially approach our table, another 20 for drinks, never got our starters, and our food was AWFUL and wrong.
We left and had to go to the Wal Mart for bread and peanut butter for our dinner that night because the food at this ruby tuesday's was inedible. We were so put off by this restaurant that we were we reluctant to enter any restaurant in Lexintgon, VA after this experience. Â
Stay away! BAD BAD BAD!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
On past visits to this Ruby Tuesday we have had good meals, reasonably priced, and they came with a very nice, salad bar that was kept well stocked with a variety of salads. However, the last three visits have had iffy service, and the salad bar has declined to just a so-so amount of choices, some of which are empty bowls. Unfortunately we took some out of town guest there last week as they wanted a salad bar. The waiter and the kitchen staff were at their worst for service that night. We had to ask for everything. No silverware, no napkins, they forgot half of the drinks ordered, such as a glass of water and coffee, the berry sangria we ordered was not served, but an apple one was brought out, very disappointing. The cup of coffee was requested 5 times, and didn't arrive until our guest went to speak to the manager. The complimentary cheese biscuits didn't come until half way through our meal. While we were getting our salads, the waiter removed our appetizer, though only half eaten! Trying to get any service only got more disappointment. The meals finally arrived, but our moods were less than good at the time making it difficult to enjoy any of it. I just got a box and took most of mine home. So embarrassing for us to take first time visitors to Lexington out to eat and have such a horrible experience. Our guest was more than upset with the place!
Review Source:Arrived in Virginia tonight on my way to Reading, PA. After 600 miles on the road was looking for a good dinner by my hotel. Bad choice. Had the 7 oz steak and lobster tail with baked potato and sugar snap peas. Had to send lobster tail back; didn't want sushi. Steak was way undercooked. Potato was dry; no butter? The peas were good. Â Service was good.

OMG the steak was the best steak I have ever eating in my life! Â The New Orleans seafood plater. I just did not what to swallow It was just that good. The salad bar was packed of health treats that was awesome to eat. We were eating off each others plates. It was mind blowing good food. The staff was very friendly, nice, and very helpful. My glass never got half empty before being refilled. Â That was one of the best forty plus dollars I ever spent. WOW! Nice Job Ruby Tuesday keep cooking that great food. See you soon again.
