Rush Lounge at Golden Nugget

I went to Rush Lounge while I was at the Golden Nugget Casino to watch football on Sunday. The Rush Lounge at the Golden Nugget has a nice 360 degree bar. The lounge has a lot of televisions throughout. They should have more variety of games on instead of one game on most of the televisions. There are tables or you can relax on the couches. The Rush Lounge has some good drink and food specials during the games. Wings were 50 cent and $2 selected beers. The service was solid. The bartenders were attentive. The Rush Lounge is a good spot to watch sports in the Golden Nugget Casino.

I agree about "slightly scatter-brained" bartenders. I think they actually had to look up the recipe for the Diamond Martini even though it was on their specialty cocktail menu.

In the end, my friend's dirty martini came out first (bartender foul when the place is is as nice-looking as this...) and the drink tasted like how a floral carpet cleaner smells... Not how it should be with ingredients like Chambord and St. Germaine...

Other than that though, I would totally come here again.

Rush Lounge is definitely my new favorite chill-out spot at Golden Nugget. I first came here after dinner on New Years Eve and fell in love with the atmosphere, the vibe, and the champagne (they have mini bottles.)

Rush is situated just outside of the casino floor, near the hotel check in. They have a few table games in the back, a spacious 360 degree bar, and ample table and couch seating all around. The colors are rich, the furniture is plush. There is live music on the weekends, and I adore the more intimate vibe of this venue. Rush lounge is ideal for an end-of-the-night cocktail before heading home on date night. Never too crowded, never too loud, and you can always tuck yourself away from the scene in one of the velvety chairs.

The bartenders are friendly enough, if a little scatter-brained. It seems like they haven't yet come to a concensus yet about how much specific drinks cost. One round may total $23, the next round of the same thing may be $30. Maybe this makes them not scatter-brained, but sly and calculating: since most of the time I'm already buzzed by the time I get here, I don't have a hard time giving up my money.

Rush Lounge is probably my favorite attraction at Golden Nugget as of now, other than Chart House. This is a place I would visit all by itself if I wanted to keep it low-key and classy, but still stay in the city.
