Rustic Oak Cabin Steakhouse, near Cannon Dam on Mark Twain Lake, Perry, Misssouri. They claim, "Best Food by a Dam Site", and they live up to it. Well prepared proteins of all types, served "Missouri style" (every side in a separate container so the juices don't run together). Friday and Saturdays are "prime rib special nights. 12 oz Chargrilled Prime Rib with 2 sides for $16.99. It's a favorite! We try to stop by whenever we get back from Texas. Never been disappointed. BTW, they are widely known for their delicious upscale desserts! Be sure to save room!

I've been meaning to eat at the Rustic Oak for quite sometime and finally got to experience what all the buzz is about. It's worth the wait and everything it's hyped to be. Had some of the best fried chicken I've ever had and some sweet corn that tasted like it was straight out of the garden. Fantastic food and a fantastic staff to boot. If you have the chance, don't pass up this gem on the lake!
