Beautiful place, but comfortable and unpretentious. Â Stopped in last Friday evening to beat the heat before we headed out of town. Â Nice wine selections and decent prices. Â Unfortunately we had to leave before the music started... Â Will definitely be back next time we're in Solvang.
Review Source:My first impression of this wine bar was that somehow I'd walked into South Beach. And I mean that in a good way.
The decor is bright and modern, but at the same time spare. I was in Miami last year and there were numerous places with a similar vibe. After walking through so much Danish architecture, which is charming and rustic, this was a complete departure.
Eric, the owner, was very gracious and took time to ask us what types of wines we enjoyed and gently asked us to describe them. With that information he brought out some samples of varietals we may enjoy and allowed us to try them before deciding on a full glass. The wines we selected were very nice and the entire process was a really pleasant interaction.
The entire vibe is low stress and helpful, but fun and hip at the same time. If you're in Solvang I highly recommend a stop into Sante for a glass or three of wine.
Great wine, great recommendations, great atmosphere.... smelled a little strange.... but overall a great experience. They gave us some great advice, which we took, and they were spot on.
The two owners are so sweet - we walked away with 2 bottles of wine and 4 glasses for about $90. It was great. Definitely would come back here.
