Great food, good service, meh atmosphere. Sitting at the bar typing this up and it is a bit divey feel, medium volume from everyone talking, pretty bland design but it doesn't matter because the food was delicious.

Finally went to Santorini last weekend - and let me start with a tip - get a reservation before you go. Even though we did not, they were very accommodating, but after going, it would have been easier on all if I had done so in advance.

With that said, the food was great!

The staff - and our waiter - fantastic!

Atmosphere - like a taverna in Greece - loud!

The wine list -  offers the best of Greek wine. Good way for those who do not know about it, to have the opportunity to try some of the best: Agioritikos or Hatzimichalis.

So why the 4 and not 5 star rating... well, it is just my take on belly dancing - it is just not a Greek thing.

Santorini's is always a great time.  Their food is great and the service is excellent and entertaining.  My favorite here is the fish kabobs both standard with rice, green beans, and potato.  It's also available on a bed of salad which is also a great choice.  Ice tea and coffee is very good here also!

Santorini is good,  but I'm not buying the 5-star hype.

The ambiance and service are great, no complaints there.  We made reservations, were seated promptly, and the waiter was at our table immediately.

The drink list is very wine-centric, but they did have some good local draft beer on tap (Sun King and FSB).  No real complaints there.

The food is good, but I'm not sure that it warrants the sticker price.  I got the kebabs and the chicken was pretty good well but the steak was tough and overcooked.  The lamb was then undercooked compared to the rest of the meat and not that well seasoned.  I liked the rice and potatoes, but the canned green beans were pretty weak - a $25 entree shouldn't have anything canned on the plate.

I had a great time at Santorini and would still recommend it casually, but I don't think the food is all that great for the price.  Maybe they have to charge a premium to pay the belly dancer.

Best Greek food and atmosphere in Indy. The tzatziki dip is a great starter.  I always get either the fish kebabs or the lamb chops.  My wife likes the moussaka (eggplant lasagna).
Let them know you are celebrating a special event and they will treat you like kings and queens.

My absolute favorite Greek restaurant! Not only is the food fantastic but it also has a great local charm with a friendly staff. I have dined her for lunches, dinners, group outings and even a rehearsal dinner and each and every time I have left impressed. I usually go for my ol' faithful the gyro . I know, I know, I need to branch out a little, but it is the BEST gyro I have ever had, hands down. It is served on warm pita bread, with lamb, lettuce, tomato, onion, feta cheese, and their delicious tzatziki. I have had so many tzatzikis that are watered down or ruined with dry herbs , but Santorini's is thick, creamy and fresh tasting. Most entrées also come with a small starter Greek salad, lemon potatoes, rice, and green beans. Whatever you order, you will definitely leave full and happy.

Definitely take advantage of their weekday lunch menu! Same great food and portions but for a crazy low price! And if you are entertaining visitors go on a night when they have live belly dancing and order the flaming cheese appetizer. OPA!

Reviewing Santorini is a treat. It's my absolute favorite Greek restaurant, serving all of my Greek comfort food favorites-- moussaka, spanikopita and those lemony, olive oily potatoes and green beans. If your perception of Greek food is limited to gyros, you MUST try this authentic restaurant.

The service is friendly and attentive, and often you'll get to encounter belly dancers, which provides some fun kitsch.

    Good stuff.

Loved the little octegenarian over in the far corner banging out "Star Wars" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on the piano.

Staff was *very* cool. I think the waiter said his name was David... carried himself like a professional waiter, not some jamoke taking orders and passing out food.

My entree was the sample plate, delicious & more food than I could eat. Had baklava (sorry however you spell it) for dessert ...$40 lunch for two people. Food was worth every penny.... love cooked into every bite.

Now closed Sundays! (At least that's what the sign says)

The food here is very authentic and delicious. Probably the most popular item is the one where the cheese is put on fire...blanking on what it's called....saganaki! opa! (shout that if cheese is on fire) It's a bit freaky because it just pops up throughout the restaurant the entire time you are there.

Also, something else interesting, when I visited we had a woman doing some belly dancing of some sort. Don't make eye contract because she will come over to you and it will be awkward. I didn't stare too long and it saved me.

The service was great. I went here a second time with a large group and my phone was about to die and the server changed my phone for me while I was eating!

    Definitely visit!

I have been here probably about 4 times this year. I really enjoy coming here, as Greek food and restaurants are always a favorite!

I have had great meals here about 50% of the time. Luckily the portions are so big if I don't like mine I can share some of someone else's. I am a huge fan of their patstio, it is a little bit more tomato based then some, but really great either way.  The spankikopita is amazingly buttery and something I wish I could recreate on my own. The roasted chicken is flavorful and homemade tasting. However the lamb dishes have been hit or miss. Same with the kabobs.

Their saganaki is awesome! Flaming cheese... how do you really go wrong?!  And their desserts are good as well. Much better than other greek restaurants I have been  to.

Most of the time we go, there are belly dancers. But even my prude mom finds its fun, as she is amazed they dance in public with bodies like they have!

Excellent service, terrific food, huge portions, and quite possibly the nicest owner you'll find in town.  Greektown in Chicago can't produce food this good, for this price.  One of my favorite places in town.

This is a complete evening out experience, especially if you get outside seating as we did (an amazing 72F degree night in late October).

Food: Fantastic. Saganaki was delicious. Leg of lamb was great except it was a little salty. The chef's mixed selection was a delightful sample of many dishes, all of which were tasty. The portions were substantial and we took home enough for at least two lunches.

Service: Very attentive, fast service. No complaints at all.

Entertainment: Ah... This is where it gets interesting. We live and work in Carmel so going to Fountain Square is quite an experience. The locals driving and walking around at night were a certifiable potpourri of Jerry Springer segments. A lot of MF, STFU, F' this, F' that, etc. And that's just from the people pushing baby carriages! It adds to the ambiance and is more interesting than the boring 'burbs.

Check out Santorini. And make sure you sit outside.

I have NEVER been disappointed here. Except for when it burned down and they had to rebuild and I couldn't eat there. It was a great day when they reopened (yes, I was there for it).

SUMMARY: One of the few 5-star restaurants in Indy!

I have been going to Santorini's for years and years. They are consistently one of the best restaurants in town and if you like Greek (or Mediterranean), then you will never have a bad meal here. I suggest reservations as they can be packed to the rafters, but I have never had to wait more than 45 minutes to an hour for a table for two.

The service, quality and price is dead on wonderful. You should stop reading this and just go there right now...

I spent a month in Greece and nothing has compared so far. Santorini was ...alright but I wouldn't visit agin. The server made us feel like we were idiots when it came to ordering our dinner. Snobby and rude. I may visit again when someone offers me a free dinner

The best Greek food in town, and one of my favorite lunch/dinner spots. The food borders on the amazing at times, but the biggest draws for me are the employees. Not only has the wait staff never given me bad service, they've almost always gone above and beyond to make my dining experience more pleasurable. The owners are always on hand to greet customers and make sure things are running smoothly. On the weekend, you can even catch a live bellydancing show -- just make sure your attention remains focused on your date.

Love. love love love love. I love this place. Let me say it one more time. I love Santorini's. It's amazing. It's delicious. It has an awesome atmosphere. It has delicious authentic Greek food. It has great booze. It has belly dancers.

What it doesn't have??? Nothing. Got absolutely nothing. If you are looking for solid good Greek food, come here. And definitely make a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night or you will be turned away.

I first came for a Yelp event and was impressed by the food display and entertainment. I have come back time and time again and every time the food is decadent and full of savory flavors of authentic Greek food. I recommend the gyro, the leg of lamb, the spanakopita, or just really whatever you get. All entrees have Greek potatoes, rice pilaf, and green beans which are amazing. I always take home some leftovers and they taste great heated up.

The baklava is a great treat to have at the end of your night or afternoon. I enjoy a good baklava and it is quite tasty!!!

Definitely bring a date/spouse/friend/whatever here and just enjoy it. Take it in with the food and atmosphere and enjoy one of many Fountain Square's gems. We take pride in this place.

I am in love with Tzatziki sauce! Some of the best Greek food I've ever had. A little on the expensive side, but you get a TON of food! The atmosphere is great and the staff are wonderful too. I can't wait to go back!

While the service was incredibly polite, I have to say this is the worst greek food I've ever had. I also must stress that the menu is over priced. I know that Indiana has a pretty disappointing restaurant scene, but this is not even close to 4 stars for this region of the country.

Shall I go into detail? Why not! The hummus was flavorless; too much tahini, no spices. The greek salad? Wow. When they say "mixed greens" they mean iceberg lettuce with 4-5 pieces of spring mix on top to try and pass it off. The dressing was nothing to write home about either. ONE OLIVE. Olive hoarders. The chicken gyro was edible, but they seem to think all pitas should be fried in olive oil. Every other greek restaurant I've been to, including establishments in Greece, disagree. It makes an otherwise soft pita greasy and slightly hard on the outside. The sides were awful. Frozen green beans in tomatoe sauce, bland rice. The potatoes were the best part, but, again, like every other edible piece of this meal they too were unremarkable.

I would never return to this restaurant. Waste of $25.

I am just not convinced. I had the lamb shanks with tomato sauce on it and my bf had the chicken gyro. The meat of the lamb shanks was tender and juicy but I dislike the tomato paste on it. It''s sour, so are the potatoes, salad, green beans. The only edible side was the yellow rice.

My bf had the gyro topped with feta cheese, I think?
and we actually preferred the Sam's gyros. Don't get me wrong, the service was wonderful, it's just not our cup of tea.

Not long ago, my aunt and uncle took me to what they described as the best Greek restaurant in the western Chicago suburbs.  That place had nothing, NOTHING!, on Santorini's.  Santorini's gyro meat is tender, juicy and flavorful.  The pita bread is just the right amount of soft and crispy.  The sides of green beans and potatoes are absolutely delicious.  Since they've reopened after a rehab (due to fire), I have noticed that their portion sizes are quite a bit smaller.  But a slightly smaller amount of really awesome food is nothing to complain about!

Best Greek I've ever had. Hands down. First time around I went with the Chef's Combo Platter. Wanted to try everything. Platter was fantastic. Not a bad item. And enough food for days! Second time around, took Dad who doesn't eat Greek food but even he loved it! He got the Greek lasagna type dish. I got the spaghetti with gyro meat. So good! Best tasting, most moist gyro meat I've ever had. Thick cut too! You never see that.

    Great staff too! So fun.

    Go now! You will love.

Only gripe I have is it can be a wee on the expensive side.. But with the amount of food you get, I guess it washes out.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? If you like Greek food and belly dancers, you should go. If you aren't sure about Greek food, you should go and find out. If you hate Greek food, you should go so they can change your mind. Order big platters and try as many different things as you can.

Santorini Greek offers enough choices to satisfy the meat eater and vegetarian alike. I never really make it to Fountain Square, but I am always a fan of someone suggesting Greek food.

Avgolemono soup is the most perfect kind of soup in the world. This has been proven in several hundred tests by me. You have to get this! House salad is filling and comes in a really neat pink-colored Greek dressing.

Lamb chops are superb, but if you are on a budget, the gyro entree is awesome. For $14, you get the salad, bread, and then a gigantic plate with the gyro, and Santorini's 3 classic sides, rice pilaf, beans, and lemon potatoes. I'm not a fan of the beans, but I can't eat this food fast enough.

Servers are always polite, attentive, and great at suggesting "adult coffee" for the end of your meal.

Don't forget your OPA when a Saganaki is lit up!

As good as it gets in Indiana for Greek food.  Large menu.  Great waitresses and waiters.  Knowledgeable about their menu.  The owners were circulating throughout the restaurant and seemed genuinely concerned that your dining experience was meeting your expectations.  Plenty of food.  Reasonable prices.  Excellent service.  Tasty, well seasoned entrees and iced tea glasses that never reached empty.  What more could you ask for?

A wrong turn downtown ended us up in Fountain Square last night. That was my a wonderful mistake, as it was my first time in Fountain Square, and I loved the district. Then we decided to just walk down the street and eat at the first interesting restaurant we came across, which was Santorini.

We started off with the cliché Greek appetizer of Saganaki (flaming cheese), and it was predictably delicious (but seriously, how could you mess up Saganaki?).

The bread (a hint of garlicky) and salad were also great, and that's coming from a person who usually dismisses salads altogether.

I ordered the gyro sandwich. The gyro itself was wonderful, although not the best I've had in Indy. The sides were what made this meal incredibly. The vinegar baked potatoes were one of the most interesting; both sour and rich. An interesting and delicious preparation. I also tried the garlic mushroom soup, and was similarly impressed. I also tried the lamb of leg (yes, I am that guy who tries a bite of every one at the table's meal). The lamb itself was good, but not as tender as I expected. However, the sauce made up for this. Again it was an interesting mélange of zesty flavors that perfectly complimented the lamb.

Finally, I sampled the chocolate ganache torte. Rich, delicious and chocolatey. What else would you expect?

Possibly Indy's best Greek food. Highly recommended.

Santorini Greek Kitchen is an amazing place.  Anyone who pays attention to restaurants in Indianapolis knows this place has been successful for a number of years.  The restaurant's success has continued to grow after a major fire caused the it to close for several months.

There is a reason that places like this survive tragedy: dedication.  Santorini's is dedicated to providing its customers with absolutely amazing Greek food.  However, the experience of dining out is more than just the food one eats; it's the service he receives.  The owners of the restaurant are always on hand and usually greet each customer when the enter.  The staff is equally remarkable.  Every server I have had has been knowledgeable about the food and drinks which are featured on the menu - which is especially important when working at an ethnic restaurant.  The service is also quick.  It never seems to matter how busy the restaurant gets (and it gets busy!), the food always comes promptly.

The menu at Santorini's is huge.  They have multiple selections for meat lovers and vegetarians alike.  I've always been partial to anything with lamb--especially their gyro sandwich or their spaghetti with gyro meat.  Unlike other Greek restaurants, Santorini has thicker cuts of gyro meat.  It's always fresh, hot, and has an adequate amount of spice.

If you're not thrilled by Santorini Greek Kitchen, something is clearly wrong with your taste buds.

I fully believe Santorini's is Indy's #1 Greek restaurant.  And another excellent choice in Fountain Square.

I LOVE their Dolmades.  Hands down, my fav in Indy.  Sorry, Greek Islands, Bosphorus, and anything on the northside.  And the galaktoboureko for dessert...get it warm and it is amazing.  But, make sure you are hungry.  I don't think I've ever seen anyone clean their plate.  You always have leftovers.

It's on the pricy side, but makes an excellent date spot. Make sure you get the saganaki which is a standard and necessary appetizer for Greek dining.

I've seen belly dancers there on occasion so if you don't think you'd be into that, go on a night they won't be there. Service is usually excellent at Santorinis and the restaurant carries that "family vibe."

I don't have much to add on top of the other 76 reviews here.

My wife (Brandy F) gave it five, but I'll give it four. The food is pretty damn good. The prices could be just a tad lower and that's my only (minor) complaint.

Anyway, let's get on to the real business.

Was there ever a hotter human being on the island of Santorini than Daryl Hannah in the movie "Summer Lovers?"

    Doubtful.

That flick also gave us the Chicago song "Hard to Say I'm Sorry."

    Wow.

I wish that cast, and the band Chicago, lived in Fountain Square and hosted nightly parties at Santorini.

This is a great Greek restaurant. I have been here twice now, once for a Yelp event, and another time for dinner, and it was delicious on both counts. Due to the event I've had a change to try a lot of their items and I haven't had anything bad.

Let's start with appetizers. The hummus is very good, but nothing beats the sagnaki for presentation. It is a flaming goat cheese that they set on fire while they bring it out. Opa!!! You can tell it's popular because flames are going up left and right all night long. Don't worry if you don't like goat cheese, I don't like goat cheese, but once it's set on fire it tastes much better.

For entrees I recently had the gyro. It is amazing, the tzaziki is really good. My wife had the leg of lamb and that was great too. We almost traded halfway through dinner. Entrees are served with rice, green beans and these amazingly seasoned greek potatoes. Yum!!!

We went with Baklava for dessert. It was a nice sized serving for the price, a sweet bite to end the meal.

It was an all around great experience, attentive staff, delicious food and a belly dancer.

When I was a kid my grandpa loved going to the annual Greek Festival near his house. Though utterly Italian he was psyched about some Greek cuisine and their culture. The grass must be greener across that old Ionian Sea!

Anyway, when I think Greek I think three things: Lamb, Feta and Dolmas. Yeah those grape leaf things. So good.

No matter how much of this stuff I chowed on once a year as a kid, when it comes to anything beyond a gyro or those three said food items, I'm still a newb.

I ordered the safest thing on the menu (just like when people only order Pad Thai at their local Thai eatery): The gyro. It had lamb in it and was covered in feta. Imagine that! Exactly what you'd expect it to be!

The lunch special came with a Greek Salad as well. You guessed it, there's more feta!

All in all, it was awesome. All the dishes carried by our table that were probably a bit more thought out and dare I say authentic looked amazing. I know my meal was safe but it was awesome and based on its quality alone I wouldn't have any doubts about ordering anything off the menu.

Another culinary win in Indianapolis where I assumed culinary wins would be very few and far between.

My family and I live on a small farm outside of Auburn, IN ( Fast food capital of northeast Indiana?) so we were looking forward to quality ethnic food in INDY. Santorini did not disappoint. We highly recommend the appetizer platter ( hummus, baba ganoush, taziki, feta, olives, pita, etc). My wife was still talking about the baba ganoush three days later so I know it was good. Main dishes - chicken soulvaki and gyros - were very good, although we overdid the appetizer platter.
We dined here on a Saturday night and were able to enjoy the belly dancer. My five year old son was completely mesmerized by the dancer. I actually received a call from his kindergarten teacher after she overheard his story about dinner with a naked (he's 5) dancer in Indianapolis.
We do not travel to INDY very often but we will visit Santorini again in the future.

The food is plainly awesome. You get mammoth portions, and the atmosphere is fun and lively. By far the best Greek food in the city.

The food, though, isn't the only reason that Santorini's gets 5 stars. My group of friends has done a number of large events here, ranging from birthday dinners of around 20-25 people to graduation parties with over 100 people. I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing service we've received each and every time. They go out of their way to make sure we have an awesome experience and are even willing to spilt the bill for our large groups, which aleviates the hassle of figuring out among 20-some people who owes what (most restaurants would not do that so easily).

It's not only the best Greek in the city; it's one of my favorite restaurants in general.  Yum!

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars but settled on three after asking what the other people I was with thought. The consensus was that it was good but no one had plans to go back again.

We all had the Baba Ganoush appetizer which was very good and the pita bread was the best I have ever had - so soft and warm. Then I and a friend had the fish kabobs which came with white fish, salmon, scallops, and shrimp. Plus rice, green beans, potatoes and a salad. The potatoes were very good and all of the seafood was cooked well. We also got a side dish of some sort of cream based cucumber and maybe dill dip that was good to put on all the seafood (it wasn't Tatziki). The other person for chicken gyro and liked it pretty well. We were all stuffed by the time we left.

The server was very attentive and helpful.

I would say it is worth a try and opinions will probably vary a lot based solely on how much you like greek food in general.

I was visiting from Chicago and was looking for a place to eat after the Bulls/Pacers game. Decided to stop by this place and wow it was the best decision I made. The food was unbelievably fresh, the service was fast and friendly. Not once did I have to ask my waiter for a refill, the food was brought out in a timely manner.

So any visiting or living in Indy should stop by this place. Will you not be disappointed.
