Sharpies Grill & Bar

it was an experience, my brother took my  dad and me there for dinner @ 4 years ago the food was...food, but the owners and servers were nice and friendly as my brother lived 2 blocks fom them and apparently was friends so that made a difference... I am posting cause I saw them listed in the Facebook places for Beaufort, but all the links I come across say domain for sale, i assume therefore Sharpies has left the house.aha just discovered it february 2012 it opened as

Sharpie's was an excellent, beautiful, and ambitious restaurant, opened in a small, seasonal Southern town. The result was predictable: after a few seasons, the owners gave up and sold the business.

I have not eaten at the "new" Sharpie's, so I put 3 stars as a placeholder.  I have observed that the new menu is more ordinary and more Southern, with things like shrimp and grits. The purpose of this review is simply to let readers know that the game has changed.
