Yummy sliders and yuca fries. Eating there is best, delivery is pretty fast, but the buns get soggy :(

The Philly was delicious. Not so much as a real Philly(it has lettuce and tomato...) but super good. I could probably eat my body weight in the sweet potato fries.

BBQ Chicken Sandwich wasn't anything to write home about, but acceptable.

Delivery was quick and the food was hot; no complaints there.

YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE! The owner is a very nice guy, obviously busting his ass to offer awesome food out of a small kitchen. I've had several things, all were very good, but the philly steak fries are UNREAL. SOOOO  GOOD.

I've been here a few more times since that last review. I haven't gotten back to Yelp in a while though. Sorry about that.
Sideline Grill is definitely worth a 5-star rating. I've tried its hamburger, its 'slider', its hot dog, and even its cheesesteak. They're all solid, satisfying, and a good value for the money. The french fries will stun you with their savoriness.

We've ordered from here a few times via GrubHub and while the hubs does like their Philly cheesesteak sandwich, I have yet to find something I like.  I've had their BBQ Chicken sandwich which was mmm, ok, very messy but when you're home, who cares, right?  I had a few of their regular sliders and mmm, ok.

What kind of really grossed me out were their Pulled Pork sliders.  It says on the menu that it's 12 hours smoked pulled pork, but nope, I really doubt it.  I swear it's the same pulled pork paste stuff you can buy in that tub at the grocery store.  I'm getting a little queasy just thinking about it.

They're generally pretty quick with the delivery, stuff is still warm to hot-ish.

I am a foodie and I am so happy this opened up in our neighborhood.  The outside of it looks like a hole in the wall.. but you can't tell a book by it's cover. Love this place. Love the people that work there. Love their menu. It's a few notches up from a burger joint with a gourmet/latino twist. The sweet potato fries are amazing. . so is the chimichurri sauce for the empanadas as well as the empanadas.  Their italian ice is fresh with real fruit.  There are tons of slider choices even a vegetarian option. I dig their hot dogs and wings. This place is bustling.

Even a foodie from Seattle can fall in love with these guys. The best hot personalities a couple bucks can buy. You can't pay for the kind of love these guys give you. I spent about four dollars there and had nicer help than the night before at Bistromanic.

This walk-up is great for some good, fast eats. Lots of vegetarian options. They even have a veg section of the menu. The vegetarian Philly is a tasty sandwich of grilled veggies and cheese on a hoagie. The veg chili is a peppery warm up with plenty of beans for a protein fix. I had both the regular fries and the sweet potato fries. By the time I got them home (about 3 minutes) they were a little bit limp but the taste was right on - bonus points for sprinkling some sugar on the sweet potato fries! I also had  a bit of my wife's black bean burger sliders. Good taste but it suffered from the same problem a lot of bean burgers have. It was mushy.
The guys working the counter were very friendly and careful to write "veg" at the top of our order. One drawback there though. We were told our food would take "8 or 9 minutes" but we ended up waited for it in our car for just under a half hour. Despite that little hiccup, we'll be back for sure.

I came across Sideline on GrubHub, the place we use to order from changed owners and the quality dipped, so we decided to give this new place a shot.  We were amazed by the menu, and the fact that they had Empanadas with chimichurri.  We tried both the cheese and beef and cheese, pretty good.  Hoping they make a plain beef one someday.  I had the rib tips with BBQ sauce, and I have to say these are one of  the best rib tips i have ever had (almost better that Carson's) .  They had the right amount of char and where homemade.  The Yuca fries were ok, they were cold though by the time I got to them , so that could be why they weren't Great.  A but pricey, but will  order again soon.

Good Lord!, I just smashed the Beef n Cheese empanadas, they were very fresh, none of that defrosted stuff you get from other places. I also got some perfectly salted Yucca fries, I could just have a basket of those and snack on them all day. For my final course I had the Black n Bleu Sliders, real good bleu cheese flavor and these sliders are not small like most places serve. I can't wait to go back to try other stuff, i.e. sweet potato fries, pulled pork sliders and the homemade italian ice

Call ahead to place order, this food is made fresh.

They have both the traditional Chicago dog along side upscale offerings.  I got a spinach and feta cheese brat when I stopped by and it was top notch.  Don't let the rough outside fool you, you can get high end food for regular prices.

Solid neighborhood fast food spot. The empanadas were really tasty, and the polish sausage surprisingly spicy. We had the teriyaki wings, which were nicely fried although they could have used more sauce. The counter guy was pleasant and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We'll be back for sure.

Yucca Fries. Who knew I could find those at what seemed like an ordinary hot dog stand?!

I'm usually there at least every other week and the thing I look forward to the most is what exotic combination of Italian Ice, they will have on hand. Last time it was Coconut Pineapple, yes...it was as refreshing and delicious as it sounds.

The guys that work the stand are funny and very customer service oriented. However, be prepared to wait and wait and wait...since everything is made fresh to order, it can take a long time to get your food. Come with friends, talk to the other people in line, because the deliciousness that awaits you is worth standing around for a while.

An unassuming place with things on the menu you wouldn't expect. Avocado and Bacon hot dogs, better pulled pork sliders than most bbq places, and empanadas? Awesome! The staff are quality people too.

i was very sad when it closed down years and years ago. i use to love jimmy's, good friends with them. hoping they will open back up, rode to work and saw the opened side to be a whole new fast food joint. pretty excited and decided to give them a try with nervousness. i ordered sweet potatoe fries, a polish, wings, pasta salad and italian ices. i love their italian ices, it was fresh and delicious. the wings and polish were good but the fries were just alright. weeks past and i decided to order from them again, hoping the sweet potatoe fries turned out right again, wings, and this time my decided to try the sliders. he said the sliders are good, wings are always good!, the sweet potatoe fries were just alright again. third times a charm??? na.....i don't think so. the wings are the only thing that is good on this little menu. oh yeah and the italian ices too.

Sometimes the light bulb over my head can be a tad dim. From reading the reviews, I did not realize that there was no indoor seating. I read "shack" as just another variation on "dive". Armed with that lack of information, we drove down to Sideline Grill for lunch the other day. Neither of us are the "sit outside and eat" type of people, but fortunately it was not too ungodly hot out, but it wasn't exactly comfortable either.

I ordered the rib tip special. I was not "wowed" by the fries, but I must say the rib tips were really good. They had a lot of flavor without being drenched in sauce.

Christopher tried the sliders. He got the basic burger type slider and thought they were "ok". He was not crazy about the fries either. I think part of the issue was sitting in the sun at a picnic table. He wasn't feeling well and so I took his experience with a grain of salt.

The owner is very nice and it sounds like he really has some great ideas for this place. I do want to come back and try some other options, but I will wait till fall. We live too far away to do carry outs.

Now that I am more aware, I think Sideline Grill has a lot of potential and I hope they do very well.

This is the best "hot dog stand" experience I've ever had!  The owners are lovely and so customer-oriented - and the menu choices are practically gourmet!

Sliders with the option of fresh avocado, gruyere, or bacon?!
Fry options include: regular, sweet potatoe, plantain, and yucca!
    Homemade italian ice!
    TO DIE FOR Empanadas?

So many options that even vegetarians will feel comfortable with the menu.  Plus, they're right in the heart of Avondale, a neighborhood that is starting to come into it's own as far as happenin' places!

    "It's so good!"

From the stuffed plantains to delicious turkey sliders, you can't go wrong. Mango Italian was awesome, but the peach flavor is even better. Perfect place for meat and vegetarian eaters alike!

    Great food and phenomenal service!
