This haunted house is in its first year and they did a terrific job! I'm a very picky haunted house-goer because I've seen some excellent ones, and they made a great showing for its first year. I will definitely visit again next year if I'm in the area. Far better than Hopper House.
This attraction is in two parts. You queue up for one part and when you're done with that, you queue up for the second part. The prices were recently lowered and I think that's a smart move because of the economy.
What I liked:
* You are told the story of the haunted grounds before going in. It's a good story. Though the person is not scary (actually, he is super cute and nice -- xxoo call me! :p ), he was wearing awesome zombie contacts. Would be improved if he was more dramatic and foreboding in the telling of the story.
* The cashier was super, had a bowl of free candy, and I heard that some kids do this thing as community service.
* It's nicely structured because there are a lot of very dark corridors and some dead ends
* The actors are scary and do a goodjob of creeping you out by following you around.
* No or very few super cheesy fake props. The one room I remember that was a little cheesy was actually cool too with a blood-filled bathtub and stuff like that.
* There's a dodging hanging corpses room (like Hopper House) but this one has an actor running at you with a chainsaw.
* There's a sweet and creepy little girl on her rocking horse in one of the rooms and she said to me "you're all alone, like me" (yes, i did go through alone for maximum scare)
* There's actually a creepy clown room that's good because of the actors
* There are two illusion-like scenes
Huge free non-paved parking lot in the back off of Weller street.
