SLO Down Pub

I've been going to SLO Down Pub for a few years now.  We like to go for the beer and live music.  The food and service used to be better under the previous owners. We were there tonight to listen to the band.  We had no service at the table at all.  We had to order our own beer and food at the bar.  It took a long time to get the food and when we did, it was overcooked, dry and very unappetizing.   The live music, dance floor and cold beer are worth going for, but definitely not the food or service.

We used to love this place. A lot has changed. We walked in after a nice dinner out for a drink and to listen to music. Only 2 members of the advertised trio were playing. We walked up to order a drink and we were stared down by several men at the bar including the owner who was the worst offender. We have never been treated so rudely in a place of establishment that we have patronized for several years in our life. The owner should be ashamed of himself for turning away good customers. We felt awkward and unwelcome in a place where we used to have a great time 2 to 3 times a week. We will not be back. Very sad place...

Great ribs, great local beer selection, and great live music!
