Smoken Joe's Bbq

Really good food, but its kind of pricey.  Still not enough for me to knock it down to three.  My only hesitation in giving this place a four is the set up/music situation.  If this place were larger, the live music all of the time would be a great idea....but it isn't...its actually really small, so basically you feel like you're in a quant concert during your entire meal. I went with my roommate when we first moved here and honestly it felt like we were on an insanely awkward first date because we felt awkward talking during the singer's incredible renditions of Beatles' slow jams.  Still, again, great food, and quick service,

I've been to Smoken Joes several times and have always enjoyed the food and service.
But today, a Saturday afternoon, the bar area was loaded with losers who had probably been thrown out of every tavern in town. One drunken a**hole was singing LOUDLY to the music and the hapless bartender didn't do anything but apologize to us as we left. Instead of our party dropping $$ there we went down the road to another BBQ joint that prefers paying customers to trash. I will think long and hard before returning to Smoken Joes even though I live and work only a few blocks away.
