Smokin Aces

Here's what I liked about this place: Great beer selection.

Here's what I didn't like: Everything else. And I'm fully aware that makes me sound picky so here are five short reasons why I'll hesitate to go back there.

A. The smoke. It's like a one way ticket to cancerville. Our eyes were burning before we left
B. We arrived at 1am. Cover was $10... and they still charged our party of 8 for it. $10 for the privilege of spending an hour there.
C. Parking. What a cluster. People were parked everywhere
D. The band. Not that great... but they were so overmic'd that we had to yell to be heard
E. The bathrooms. We won't go there.

Anyway, a lot of those are personal preferences (like i dont want cancer and i hate cover charges) but the rest I feel are pretty universally applicable. That said, they've got UFO on draft so that may actually make the trip worth it.

Love this place.  A little metal, a litte rockabilly, and a little bit whatever.  A good place to get trashed, shoot pool, and check out a band.
