This place is a solid 3. Like many reviews will tell you it's got cheap beer, and it's old (aka a real dive bar). It's not trying to be cool or hipster, and I kind of like it.

The food is very very reasonably priced and pretty good. I don't recommend the chicken wings, but I've basically enjoyed everything else I've had. The pizza is good - thin crust and a good amount of cheese. You can get a 16" for something like $12. The chili is tasty, costs $3.50 and comes with a plate of chips. While I've never eaten the chicken caesar salad - the fried and bad-for-me food always gets me - I can say It's big and costs about $5. Friends report that it's good. You can see I wasn't kidding about cheap. I think my favorite menu item so far is the Reuben sandwich. I also can't finish this review of the food without mentioning the pasta that is served in the giant pan where it's cooked.

I started going here regularly for Wednesday night trivia when our usual spot closed (wild bull in Hoffman Estates). Stadium hosts the same pub trivia format that is at places across Chicagoland. The trivia is held in a big dining room to the right when you walk through the front door. To the left is a bar with a fireplace. I've never walked that way, so I can only speak to the vibe of the dining room.

The walls in the dining room are covered in wood panels, sports memorabilia,  and pictures of local, sponsored sports team from over the years.  They are sort of fun to see with big hair or clothes from other decades. There are TV's all over with both sports and a trivia with handheld remotes for answers  - different than Wed night trivia. Honestly, if you REALLY loved trivia you could do both AT THE SAME TIME on Wednesdays here. Enough about trivia...

The people are nice. The manager, Steve, introduced himself to my group after a few weeks of trivia. Even though he's the manager, he helps out with tables. There are a lot of regulars and sports fans. Like I said, Stadium is solid.

I am a stadium fan because of the ridiculously cheap beer and amazing drink specials.  I do not get how this place is not more popular!  It is a huge hole in the wall place that I wish I lived closer to so as I could walk there and get drunk for half the price!  The staff is always a hit or miss, you can get the sweetest old bartender and then a rude server, but they can take a joke.  It is a great place to come watch sports games, not the best tvs but it is like a community of fans, groans, and excitement.

This place is gross! No way around it. It's dirty & disgusting from the minute you walk in the door. I came for the cheap beer, but I wouldn't eat anything out of this place!
