Steaks On the Square

Yancey's Steakhouse On The Square is a locally owned and operated restaurant in quaint downtown Yanceyville, NC.  Yancey's is one of two locations with the second being in Danville, VA.   This location is divided with a restaurant on one side and a bar on the other side.  They have a diner and a lunch menu with the lunch menu limited to burgers, salads and a few sandwiches.  For this lunch visit I ordered the club sandwich which was decent with french fries and I would order it again.  Thank goodness they had Heinz 57 Sauce.  The decor is cool with farm theme going and country music in the background.  And with a small town this is one of the non-fast food options in town.

Love the fried oysters when they have them.

Had the fried frog legs as an appetizer and they were very chewy but had a good flavor. The baby backs were excellent and the beer was cold. Service was a little slow for our group of 11 but the waitress was very personable.
