Yearly rating for Algoma Steel Head Saloon is out.
We frequented Algoma Steel Head Saloon for 4 weeks and rated them on ten visits. We rated waitresses and the kitchen. Here are the results rated on a scale of 1 through 5. 5 being the best and 1 being the worst.

Waitresses: 4.5- The waitresses were very friendly and very service oriented. When it got busy, they were very apologetic for not getting to us on time. They were probably the best at trying to service us at times they were busy. I blame this on management and not the waitresses.

Kitchen Food Quality: 4.5- This is an outstanding rating, the food was great. Of the ten times we visited, there was only one time the food was not cooked to our specified request. The food is great quality.

Kitchen Delivery: 3.5- The delivery of the food is good when they are not busy. When they are busy, the wait time drastically increases. This indicates an improvement requirement in staffing or lean principles needed in kitchen. Not a big deal if you are a patient person.

Management: 3.0 - I brought my family to eat on the all you can eat fish night. This seemed to not work out very well for us. The wait for the extra fish was quite painful. I had the opportunity to speak with the manager who was very nice, but, seemed to defend the kitchen and not side on the side of me until I mentioned that this would be blogged on line.

So the overall rating is 3.9 which his pretty good out of 5. Keep up the good work.

It's a bar with bar food...I ate 15k calories in a matter of minutes but that's my fault not theirs.  I'll go back, I always do...

Love this place.  I live in Chicago but visit Algoma regularly.  The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is fun.  The appetizers are good and there is an air hockey table.  The place gets busy on the weekend with the all you eat crab and prime rib but it's worth it.  Special shout out to (Dustin and Mandy).
