Chicken wings are a specialty item on the menu at this comfortable little pub in downtown Dublin and they allow you to specify how many you want. Judging from my experience at Applebees, I ordered 10. Big mistake!
The chicken wings were plump and delicious and six would have made a meal, but they were soooooo good, I had to eat them all, I just had too. So I left the restaurant full as a tick. I'll know better next time. If you want some of the best chicken wings you have ever tasted, Stone Horse Tavern is the place to get them.
My brother flew in from Puerto Rico and if it's one thing we know, it's bars. We're both from Houston, TX where there's a bar on every corner; though I've been here about a year now. I have to say, this place blew us both out of the water considering how conservative and tiny Dublin is. This is the IT BAR in Dublin.
Low lighting, friendly vibe, prompt bar tenders and a warm atmosphere made for a great experience. The fried pickles were hot and crisp and the mozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. When I returned for a second visit, I ordered the chicken sandwich and I'm almost tempted to say it's the best I've ever had. It definitely has no comparison to fast food chicken sandwiches, so just toss that out of your mind.
There is an upstairs area with leather couches, a second bar (when open) and a flat screen TV. Restrooms are remarkably clean. Overall, check this place out.
