Studio 20 Discotech

So, what kind of club shuts down within a week of opening?

Apparently this one. Good job, Studio 20. I'm sure your investors are proud of you.

So its been over six months since I was here, the place has been rehabbed and looks even more sleek.  Formerly known as Orchid and Weylu's before that... I get there at 10:20 thinking it was free before 11.   But the front desk said no, but after I told them that I called a couple of hours ago and someone had told me it was free before 11, they relented.  I think they got confused, its free for women before 11.  Anyways I get in, and there's maybe only 30 people or so.  

The music is as good as it gets if you like techno or house.  There's a group of dudes who are really grooving to the beat and a few women who seem to enjoy the music, but only the dudes and one or two of the women seem to know how to move to this stuff.  

Besides the two women grinding on each other in one of the booths, its one of the most civilized scenes I have seen in this club ever.  

Its one of the few places I have been to recently, where a lot of the guys are there to dance and not rub against some booty and molest some poor girl or two.  Unfortunately the friend I bring has no moves and does'nt really fit in this scene at all, so we leave a bit early, but it ended up being a very decent night out.  Finally I found a place where I'm not the only one who understands this kind of music and move to it.  Just wish my former cool friends can still party like its 1999...
