Sunpie's Bistro

Loved it.  Totally a local bar with a lot of character.  Big back patio, though we couldn't enjoy it because we stopped by too late in the evening.

This is a fun and friendly place for a great lunch and relaxing (mid-day) atmosphere.  (Even for a slightly trail-worn "little ol' lady" just looking for a place regroup and read a few chapters. ;)

Affordable drinks, a kitchen, an awesome back lawn with tables and other seating overlooking the Yampa and hilarious sponsored porta potties make this place worth your time. It's really nice to sit out back and have a few drinks overlooking the river. The food is solid. I had the shrimp po-boy which was good, though I prefer my shrimp non-fried. They offer $1 tacos on Thursdays, but I haven't tried them yet. I had fun here. I'd go back.

Note: They also have 2 real restrooms, not just the porta-pots.
