Thai Lotus Restaurant

Omg-went by for a take-out more for convenience than the expectation that the food would be good but it was delicious!  I had the pad Thai and my friend had the red curry-both were really good but the pad Thai ranked as some of the best I've ever had, the portions were huge and provided lots of yummy leftovers. The crab egg rolls for appetizers were also very good. I highly recommend this small, cozy place. The only complaint I have is that they did not have any tofu but the shrimp were great in the Thai...

Ordered take out while at work, the orange chicken.  It came with rice, an eggroll,, and a fork.     the chicken was stirfried perfectly and was beautifully caramelized, the rice was dry, the egg roll was done in rice paper and was good.  This is fast food style thai, so i do find it acceptable.  At a high end restaurant, it would certainly be 1 star.

I enjoyed my trip to Thai Lotus. The first time I was there, I had their pad thai dish. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I had their Vietnamese pho on the second trip and it was surprisingly good. A lot better then the Vietnamese joint that use to be in the same location. Nice to have a new choice of restaurant in the Bayou. Will be back, especially for their Thai tea.
