So I don't like going down to the 17th street bar/club scene but this place is pretty fun. I love me a good patio and this place has a pretty nice one. The punk show on the patio was fun and a great use of the outdoor space. The drink specials are great ($2-3 wells) on Thursdays and the drinks are pretty stiff.
I went on a Thursday night and the crowd was great. It gets a lot busier on Fridays/Saturdays.
This place was off the beaten path, and I am glad we found it. Most of the people were of a younger crowd. More relaxed. This is where you want to come and hang out with friends and friends of friends...not a club atmosphere.
The bartenders put on an awesome fire blowing presentation...and yes I have videos, it was pretty cool. I can't do that, so duh I was amazed...and even more entertained with a mix of liquors in my system.
I thought the bartenders were friendly. Ha, one of the guys made me his drink called Gatorade. I agreed to take it, but then I saw what they were pouring in the shaker, and wanted to back out. I am not one that likes to waste, so I kept my word, and drank the blue Gatorade. For someone who refuses to drink gatorade at all costs, that drink was pretty freakin' good!
Totally felt it and all the others the next morning. The fire shows were worth it!
