Have been several times when in H town and not wanting to leave the Heights to go out. Most recently came on a Saturday night they were having a "Houston Gaymers" event and had a blast. The bartenders are fast, friendly and most importantly heavy handed! My love was stoked about how cold her beers were. Decor is cool and the place is kept quite clean .
Review Source:First and foremost we were 6 heterosexuals, and this is a gay bar. We were using yelp to bar hop in Houston for birthdays. We saw great reviews, and nothing said it was a gay bar... so we went in. The girls bathroom was the cleanest bathroom we experienced of the seven bars we went to that night. The drinks are reasonably priced. I had two chocolate pretzel shots, they were delicious. This place was quiet even though it had a large group of people inside. You could have a conversation with your friends easily and drink. So even though it was a gay bar, and we were all straight, we had a really good time and will go back when in the area.
Review Source:I checked out Thirteen the Heights Bar a few weeks ago with a group of friends and we loved it. Â The bartender, Antonio was was friendly and Johnny on the Spot with our drinks. Â He even introduced us to a few new drinks. Â I loved the red comfy couch and comfortable seating/space for my group of friends. Â Great music selection on the jukebox. The decor simple, but thoughtfully put together coupled with its warm, inviting atmosphere makes it a plus for us.
We have already booked the place for an upcoming birthday party:)
