This place is a dive.  I'd rather visit one of the other three bars in Mt Angel.

That said, there is inexpensive beer and fried food and the only pool table in town.

My Business partner and I were wondering Mount Angel doing a little market research yesterday when we decided to see what the bar/pub/restaurant scene had to offer

upon entering the establishment we were greeted by a friendly woman whom was tending to the bar, we each warmed up to a cold brew and checked out our surroundings...

FOOD:  If you want fried, that what's going on.  I didn't eat anything myself partially due to lack if attractive options - everything is frozen and deep fried.

BEER/LIQUOR:  There are a bevy of domestics, and a couple craft brews to choose from.  They do sell Rainier which I found pretty nostalgic.. not to mention you can buy a 6 or 12 pack to go from their beer cooler.

AMBIENCE:  The building is really nice inside from an architectural standpoint, beautiful woodwork and ornate carvings around the coolers... The decor is fine for a tavern, its old and its not hiding that - It's not "vintage" its just old/not updated advertising.

SERVICE:  I found the bar tender to be very nice and talkative, she was taking care of the patrons with a smile and everyone was served in a timely manner.

ALL-IN-ALL:  If you're a drinker domestic beers or standard issue mixed drinks and don't have deep pockets, this is an old timey cheap tavern.

My wife and I are notorious for hitting up taverns in small towns when passing through.  mainly cause we're suckers for shooting pool.  I get a kick out of this place though.  Out front it says "Tiny's" on the sign, the building out front is exactly that...tiny.  When you enter this place though, it's huge!

This place has one of the longest bars i've ever seen.  Probably a solid 30 feet long.  The prices are dirt cheap.  Mary W was getting bloody mary's for 3.00!! My bud lights were 2.50.  I got a chicken strip basket that was $6 and it was big enough to feed a army.  Basic bar food is the rating there

Service was spot on.  I was bummed out that this bar in a german town didn't have any german beer on tap, nor did they have any brats or anything.  That seems to be standard in all the bars in Mt. Angel.

I dont see us coming back anytime soon, just cause we would rather have drinks in Silverton, but if we were feeling like shooting pool and passing through, this is where we would stop.

Not much else to write about, I guess i'll leave it with 3 stars for now...I'll bump to 4 stars if they can get some german beers on tap as well as some brats to serve for grub.
