WTH!!!! I cant believe Im JUST NOW writing a review for Topview.OMG!!! Ive only been coming here for years.LOL!!! GREAT place to stop in for breakfast.The prices are relatively low compared to other places in the neighborhood.And aside from the food,its always nice to come in and be greeted by the assortment of "characters" that work here!!!! Topview is totally one of my favorite places for breakfast.Im pretty sure I'll be coming back over and over again!!!!

Â Only a short distance from the hotels by car or (safely) on foot, the Top View provides a well-prepared breakfast using high-quality ingredients, in a clean and friendly environment. Â And the price is about half what you'll pay in one of the hotels, with food that's at least twice as good.
I've only been here once, and just for breakfast. Â So far I'm completely satisfied and I'll be back. Â I had the Eggs Florentine and my companion had bacon, fried eggs and potatoes. Â All our food was first-rate quality and inexpensive.

I am not a morning person. But I do enjoy going to breakfast specially with good company and good food.
I have been here few times and have tried different things, and everything is good.
I have tried omelets, skillets, pancakes, french toast and everything is better the other places around here.
Service is nice and quick. The place is simple and unpretentious.
Price wise, I thing it is a deal.
Check it out if in the hood.
Soooooo, Â I am on a quest to find good breakfast eats all around Chicago. Â Preferably brunch-on-Saturday-type places. Â I was near Midway airport today and decided to dine at Top View. Â
Decor? Â Not that hot. Â
Service? Â Great, my daughter had the waitresses "fighting" over her for "kisses" and smiles.
Food? Â I took the advice of another Yelper and had a corned beef hash skillet. Â DELICIOUS!!!! I will be back.
Bathroom? Â Needs work and there was no diaper changing rack installed in there. Â Not cool.
Parking? Â Small lot but it was okay to park in for me and for the time of day I dined there.
We came here for a post flight lunch. The place was crowded, which seemed promising, but it was a false promise. The food was awful. For the first time in her life, my mother sent a dish back. I choked down a few bites of some terrible "meatloaf," and waited to leave; unlike my mother, I didn't want to try another dish.
Never again.
What can I say, this place was DA BOOOOMB! Breakfast was GRRRRRRRRREAT! The menu had a very good selection and the food was plenty.. they were not skimpy at all. I will come back to this place when I visit Chicago. I thank all you Yelpers for making this breakfast a dream come true, hahaha.
Review Source:Almost everything I've had from this place has been nothing short of awesome, and I have yet to even try half of everything on their huge, variety filled menu because Top View has a lot of choices from different cuisines - very hard to find this kind of a big selection menu nowadays.
*I completely agree with the previous rave reviews- their breakfast is the best around for taste, portion, price and service!
Lunch menu and service is great too, the paninis in particular; heaping portions of meat and add ons.
Biggest new perk- They just started a delivery service!
Their corned beef skillet is so old school and I love it. Not the corned beef you get out of a can but the way it was done back in the day by slices. I had a skillet of corned beef with sunny side up egg that consisted of various yum yums within the skillet. It was absolutely lovely to see that any restaurant still keeps it old school and that they don't skim on food. I also had their iced tea that was rather nice. So if you want old time foods at really decent prices and you are near Midway Airport, this place is the one.
Review Source:the fact that they had Belgium waffles sold me on this place. whenever i get the chance to have a belgium waffle i make sure i order one. the waffle was nice and fluffy but still had a nice crisp shell. i wished that they had a belgium place in grand rapids, mi because i would serious have an addiction problem.
the place is clean and the service is top notch.
