Tulip Lounge Hibachi Asian Cuisine

Ehh. I want to like Tulip, but its just ok in my book. I have not tried the Hibachi yet, it sounds fun from all the yelling and gongs I hear from the dining room. I have been there about 10 times with most visits in the bar area. Tulip has a good atmosphere and decor and one of the only busy bars in Stoneham after 9pm. The food is ok- sushi is standard and entrees i've tried are good but nothing to write home about. The beer and wine selection is decent. I'm not a huge fan of their mixed drinks, they tend to be overly sugary.

A friend and I needed an equidistant location to share dinner - and Tulip happened to be right on the spot.

We had a fine dinner of chicken with broccoli and garlic noodles, and jasmine tea. Simple and good. It's the common kind of pan-asian restaurant with lots of drinks and a wide variety of entrees and appetizers to choose from.
Service was fine. Quiet and prompt.

I'd happily eat here again if we needed a place to meet. Wouldn't make a special trip though - it was good, but nothing I couldn't get closer to home.

Wow, GREAT hibachi and dining room. We go there too much and now we need to hit the gym more often than we do. The food is REALLY good. Hibachi is pretty expensive but oh so worth it.
