It was a Tough Place Years ago, Â However, Â Things change with time, Â like Owners, Managers, Experienced Bartenders and Cooks. Â After a roller coaster ride of Service, Attitudes, and Menus, Â The Turnpike Inn is my new favorite Spot for an ICE COLD Beer, Â Home Made Soups & Sandwiches, Â and Great Wednesday Wing Specials. Â I Suggest their Bourbon Glazed Wings (.50 on Wednesdays) and an ICE COLD PBR! Â Every day there's a special. Â What has turned this little cross roads joint around, Â is the Visible Pride of the Caring Owner and his Wife! Â Using Experienced, FRIENDLY, Bar Staff, and Cooks that really take pride in serving their food make the difference for me. Â You'll see Cowboys, Truck Drivers, and Blue and White Collar Workers all having nice conversation and good food after a long day! Â Located conveniently off 295 and the turnpike, Â this is a nice place to stop and take a rest! Â TRY THE BOURBON WINGS!! Â Enjoy, Â Chef Gary!
Review Source:If you're looking for the dive of all dives, here it is. Â Some friendly truckers and broads, yes, broads. Â Couple of bar size pool tables, a pinball machine and a cast of characters pick up Texas Hold 'Em game. Bar tenders are great, sweet ladies and a good enough variety of beer on tap. Â Be prepared- many of the locals are missing teeth- the stereotype is real here.
