Two of us stopped by for a quick lunch while we were passing through on I-80. The food was OK and the location was convenient. However, we had a terrible experience in service. Our order of two sandwiches took 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked the status of the order, the waitress rudely said "I am not responsible for what's going on in the kitchen." We also saw another group leaving after waiting to get the menu for 5 minutes.
Review Source:My wife and I were heading west on I-80 late evening last week and spotted this diner's humble notice by Exit 185. We were hungry and in need of a break. What a great surprise in the middle of nowhere at a sleepy exit. We had a great simple meal. My wife's generous rib eye steak was perfectly cooked per her specific request and I loved my baked haddock. Three other choices were offered in addition to the main course -- for a really reasonable price. I give five stars, not because it is equivalent to a five-star Manhattan restaurant -- but simply because this is as good as it can get for a very decent meal along a rather desolate section of Interstate highway -- served by nice people who really do care. Yes -- that's as good as it can get!!
Review Source:I am sitting at the Twilight Diner right now. I saw the sign off rt80 and took a chance, I thought an omelet sounded like a good idea but to my disappointment they do not serve breakfast in the afternoon so I went with the double 4oz burger with cheese and it was great, perhaps one if the best I have had. Friendly and the service was not slow as some have said, also very good coffee. If you are in the area and in need of a meal, give it a try
Review Source:I was a little nervous stopping here; it looks pretty run down from the outside. Â But the service and food were top-notch- exactly what I'd expect from a good diner. Â I ordered the Mountain Sandwich, which is basically a chopped beef steak served on thick toasted and buttered homemade bread. It was really tasty ! Â My husband and I also ordered corn nuggets as an appetizer and they were tasty and arrived quickly, as did the rest of the meal.
Attentive and friendly staff and clean bathrooms as well. Â I would definitely stop back the next time I'm in the area.
Our regular stopping point for breakfast on the way from North of Pittsburgh to NY, 2 or 3 times per year. Yes the wait for food is a little longer than average but since it's our main rest stop of the trip we don't mind the extra time to get the kinks out. The food is good and the prices are low. Breakfast at the Twilight Diner has become a family tradition.
Review Source:Stopped in mid-way through an 11-hour road trip and were happily impressed. Â Trying random restaurants in what seems like the middle of nowhere can be iffy, but it's also an essential road-tripping element.
The food here was great -- we had a stromboli and (I think) some kind of burger. The waitstaff was friendly, but service was a bit slow. That worked fine for us, as we needed a break from driving anyway.
On our way home from yet another epic  adventure last weekend, Kay and I stopped in here on July 4th shortly after 1PM only to find out that they were closing at 2. Hence, their grill was closed.
Drat.
However, they were still serving ice cream, so we went to the adjacent creamery stand to get us something. I mean, there wasn't a helluva lot open, and we still had one marathon of a drive ahead of us.

24 flavors! Are you kidding me? My brain was overloaded with choices. Usually it's vanilla, chocolate, and "swirl" when it comes to soft serve.
I got the Cheesecake variety and found that it only marginally tasted like cheesecake. It also took about 10 minutes to get my cheesecake soft serve. For cheescake ice cream, it made a pretty good vanilla. Kay ordered a sundae and seemed to be content with it.
As we waited and waited, a cantankerous elderly woman with a hacking cough kvetched about everything under the rainbow, making for a dreary Independence Day in the world of Small Town America.
