Twin Oaks Tavern

Sadly, as of Jluy 9,2012, Chef Ben has moved on and the outdoor b-bque has been shut down.  This was really, the best reason to go here.

We're from Virginia and this place reminded us of the road side smoke house bbq places we would stop at driving down to Virginia Beach.  It was SO good!!  We got a huge welcome, not just from Diana who was working the bar and serving, but from a few of the locals who were hanging out at the bar waiting for the dinner bbq to be ready.  Chef Ben smokes his brisket for 10 hours and it is maybe the best I've ever had.  Big slices that just melted in my mouth.  I'm so sad we live an hour away.  We also had the ribs and chicken which were fantastic too.  But really, the brisket.  Get it, it's out of this world!
