Gourmet food for a hotel restaurant. I had the Bang Bang shrimp and a wedge salad and it was fantastic. I chose the hotel because of this restaurant and I'm glad I did.

The Twist Restaurant is one of those hidden places in Jackson. Their menu is nouveau southern, aka, a new twist on southern classics. The food is tasty, well presented, and not over priced. Their atmosphere is quiet and intimate. This is a place my wife and I like to go to talk and enjoy ourselves. I am a fan. If the food was slightly better and they were without the occasional faux pas, I would give them 5 stars. As it is, the food is very good and the service is better than most places in Jackson by a long shot. Try the Chicken Fried Steak, the Shrimp and Grits, and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, all of which are extremely good.
