  This place was great, but it's not here anymore.  It closed and has been replaced by a bbq restaurant.  Sad times.

  This place is always very busy and it has a good reputation in Hyde Park. I met a lady that told me lots of good things about it. So I was very curious to taste it. I tried the jerk chicken with plantains, rice and callallo. I ordered to take away. The portions are generous and the food is very tasty. It's a good value for money.

  I NEVER have an issue when I eat here. Food ALWAYS hot, heat and spicy speaking lol. Order is always correct. They're never " out of.." anything. I would recommend calling your oder in first because they do cook to order which I LOVE. I use to live east and now I live further west, but I will drive all the way to Stony island to get some jerk, the new location on 47th and King doesnt compare to the service and quality of the food.
  
  My faves: jerk catfish, beans and rice, mac and cheese, half white chicken.

  WOW this jerk chicken is good. I mean this jerk chicken is soo good. I've been visiting this Uncle Joe's location for years and I can honestly say the food never disappoints. I've had their curry goat and jerk shrimp, and both were delicious. While there are other locations I would agree with the other poster that this is by far the best. All in all a must try spot.

  I LOVE this chicken! It is moist, tender and very flavorful. The rice and beans are also good. The sauce is very hot so be careful if you use it.

  The BEST jerk chicken and curry goat in the city.  This particular location is FAR BETTER than the Cottage or the Hyde Park location.  I live in between this location and the Hyde Park and the few times that I've ordered from the Hyde Park location, they have screwed up my order (without fail).  The Stony location is awesome!  The portions are very generous, the curry goat is always tender and deliciously seasoned and the service is great!  Please do yourself a favor and stop over at Uncle Joe's on Stony Island...it's the go-to place for consistently good food!
