Thank goodness for these places as so many United flights are delayed!

Spacious with comfy seats.  Bartenders absent much of the time from the one bar so it was a wait to get a soda.  Cheese, cracker, shortbread, carrots ok typical United lounge offerings.  Not much compared to other lounges.

Just like everyone said, it's junky and plain.  I get better service at Porter being a regular passenger vs. here.

Domestic US carriers aren't known for their lounges and this is a perfect example of why.  Its a decent place with a coffee machine, water, sodas, and snacks---but nothing great. Delta has a better lounge class in my opinion but this is decent if you aren't paying 50 dollars to enter.

Love the free booze. The Wi-Fi is HORRIBLE!! It's there, just too slow to use. 150 users on a small hotspot = fail.

It's better than the conditions outside but that's about it. Fix your damn wifi. It's terrible!

The main reason for using lounges is to get a seat and an outlet without fighting a crowd.  If you can get a free beer out of it, good for you.  The food is generally worse than anything you'll find outside, though it is free.  A strange perk for a crowd of people who are generally on an expense account anyway.

If you have access, go for it, you probably already know what you're in for. If your thinking of paying for access, here are my thoughts: If you want internet, buy it outside.  If you are trying to get away from crowds, you can probably find a lot of space by an empty gate.  There are desks with power and internet throughout the terminal, and if you need quiet, put on your headphones.

The only real reason I can think of for wanting to use a business lounge is to take a shower when flying halfway around the world.  This lounge doesn't have showers.

This is a review of the Red Carpet Club by gate D8. It's the only one of the United RCC's open to Priority Pass members, if that's your thing.

It's a really strange, dark space on ground level with terrible lighting and dropped ceilings. I was there on a sunny afternoon and it felt like a cave. They have a decent selection of snacks and drinks, and the house (free) drinks are pretty good. I also appreciated the wider-than-usual range of periodicals to read.

If they decorated this lounge with something other than gray and turned some lights on, it would be at least a three star place.

There are two UA Red Carpet Club lounges throughout Terminal C, near C7 and C17. The one near C7 is set up with an entrance on the main level and the lounge itself below, while the other one is all just one level.

The lounge near C7 is catered more towards international customers, since it is near the gates for departures such as Zurich, Amsterdam, Kuwait City, Moscow, etc. They maintain a fully stocked bar with very friendly bartenders. The food options are also slightly more expansive than the other lounge. A wide variety of Pepperidge Farm cookies (mmm Milanos), veggies, cheeses, and crackers are at your choosing. Also, the typical tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and juices are present as well. You can get a pass for free T-Mobile Wi-Fi that lasts you 24 hrs, so that's a plus as well. This lounge is generally less crowded and is built with much more space in mind than the other lounge. It's all very typical of Red Carpet Club lounges and doesn't stand out at all when compared with international airline lounges, but that's what you get.

The C17 lounge feels a lot more cramped than the one mentioned above, mostly due to the fact that it's underground, it's smaller, and there are a lot more walls. There are no Pepperidge Farm cookies, but everything else is pretty much the same. I believe they maintain a separate counter just for flight rebookings and such, so that's pretty convenient in the rare case that you might need it.

Overall, these lounges are worth coming to if you're *A Gold, but maybe not so much if you pay for Red Carpet Club access. The Lufthansa Lounge in Terminal B is a good 20 min ride away, but a lot more worth it. But hey, if you're *A Gold and have the time, might as well use both of them.

UA lounge did some upgrade to its coffee machine and internet/drink option. In the past, there was no free internet or alcoholic beverage cocktail at the lounge but now, you get a card for free internet user code and a free cocktail alcoholic drink coupon at the bar for one. not as good as other foreign airline lounges but it's better than nothing. still no hot food .. but there are veggies and processed cheese (cheddar, jack cheese) and crackers, some snacks like kit-kat bar, cookies and apple/banana next to beverage selections. the coffee machine/espresso drink machine now makes much close-to-real espresso drinks like cappuccino, latte or espresso shots that other espresso machines at foreign lounges make but still one level lower/cheaper kind than other fancy ones I've seen at other countries or lounges.

Nothing fancy but it's better than Lufthansa senator's lounge. So, if you   fly business class or you are higher or equal to premium-executive status, try UA's lounge instead of Lufthansa's senator's lounge.
