I've lived in Dorchester for 18 months just up the street from this place and I didn't even know it was here. Went there on a Friday night, and it was basically the Black version of a "dive bar". I'm a fan.
The plusses: Great music, cheap drinks, low-key, friendly neighborhood clientele. Everyone had a good time, nobody was acting a fool.
The minuses: Parking can be a challenge, and if you're with someone wearing heels their feet may get hurt because of how far they might have to walk. The place also doesn't let people enter or re-enter after a certain hour, so if you want to step outside a grab a square you won't be able to. The layout's also a little small and the dance floor was dark, but overall the place had a nice vibe to it. I'll definitely be going back.
