The Vegas Lounge

Went here on a friday night with a group of friends. All of the boys were drinking pitchers of beer, which they were happy with. They tried waiting for the waitress a couple of times but she never showed up so they wound up walking back to the bar every time they needed a refill. My girlfriend and I don't drink beer, so we headed to the bar to order a pitcher of Malibu Sunrise (yes, you can get mixed drinks by the pitcher here!). The bartender wasn't sure how to make it, but it turned out ok after we told her what was in it. Later on, we ordered red-headed sluts for shots and they were awful. The icing on the cake was at the end of the night when I asked for a gimlet and was told (after the bartender stared at the shelf for a good solid minute) that they didn't carry that liquor (gimlets are lime juice and tequila or vodka).
Moral of the story: Don't come here to drink. If you're fine with drinking beer, however, you won't have an issue.

The Vegas Lounge also has pool tables, dart boards, beruit tournaments and poker tournaments. There aren't any actual billiard tables and there isn't a way to keep score, so if you're a serious pool player, look elsewhere.

Overall, if you're looking to shoot casual pool and drink beer or even play in a beruit tournament, the Vegas Lounge will suit you just fine. If you're expectations are higher, find another locale.

Being the only pool hall in the area that I know of, I give this place 3 stars. Don't bother during the week (filled with 65+ crowd) but on Friday/Saturday night it can be okay if you like billiards. Mixed drinks aren't a rip off like most places in the area, you can taste your liquor. There is a very limited beer selection (bottle & draft). The waitress can be slow but there is 1 girl for all pool tables, when it's busy that's a lot of work; just go to the bar. The music selection sucks and the room often goes dead silent when no one pays. I refuse to use it, I paid to play some NIN and the female bartender turned the juke box off or muted it! She went to it and it stopped playing 30 sec into the song *sigh* but overall a fun time if you know what you're in for.

been going to this place since the days of mad maggies and while it's changed a bunch over the years it maintains the awesome vibe of a true pool hall. the old timers are always giving tips, the bartenders are as friendly as they come (the more you come the friendlier they are) and the big muscley guys in the front...well, they scare me. if you're lucky, you might even catch a magic show! i haven't done casino nights, but only because i feel like if i give them tons of money i should get beer/pool in return. the more you put into having fun the more fun you get in return!
