Only have had the deep dish spinach pizza with garlic and onions, the thin crust cheese pizza, and the garlic bread. All are very yummy. Best of all, the staff is wonderful, and this goes for the Pfingston/Willow Viccino's as well. The pizza can be a bit salty, but it's all good!

BEST DEEP DISH PIZZA EVER!!! We got the vegetarian with garlic and it was one of the best pizza's I've ever had, if not the best.  If you like garlic, this pizza is for you! The other deep dishes are great too.  They have so many different options to choose from and even have wheat crust for those health freaks out there.  The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the thin crust was just OK.  They also took a very long time to deliver, but it made it taste that much better!

They have one of my favorite meatball sandwiches!  Every time I've had it, has made me happy!

The pizza is good, would not say great.

Great place. Pizza is good, but better by the slice. Havent tried the deep dish but have seen it and it looks great. Sandwiches are awesome. I'd recommend the Panino Italiano sandwich which is highlighted by its foccacia bread and generous portions of meat, and also the meatball sandwhich.

Overrated junk. Pizza is so bland, so soggy, and overpriced.
The three times I've been here was from being dragged inside by my friends. Each time sucked just as much as the last.
I gave it 2 stars, because it could be worse.

*to the moderator, there is a duplicate listing and the reviews from here (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/viccinos-glenview">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) should be moved to this listing.

I had Viccino's incorporated into my daily diet, a slice of cheese and a coke for $5 every day for roughly 3 years. The staff here are awesome, I feel like I've seen the same general manager working the cash register every time I go here. Their slices of pizza are thin crust (stick to the simple cheese pizza, can't go wrong), the slices are pretty big and definitely fill you up! It can take up to 10 minutes to get your slice though.

Their slices are usually served burning hot (that's how you know it's good), and the best way to eat their slice is by adding some peppers, and use a fork/knife at first and eventually just hold it and bite into it after it cools down. Also a huge fan of Eli's Cheesecake, also sold at this location!

A lot of people who like Panini's also love Viccino's, and back when I lived in Glenview, I believe they were doing a punch-card program for 10 paninis and you get a free one.

I love pizza so even decent pizza is better than no pizza at all.  That said, I wasn't really impressed with my visit here.  I ordered a slice of mushroom and sausage pizza to go.  It seemed like it took forever to get my slice, even though the place wasn't very crowded.

It seemed like they just took a slice of cheese pizza and threw a few ingredients on top before they three it in the oven.  Therefore, the cheese was overcooked and the mushrooms undercooked.  I've never ordered a full pizza from there so I don't know if they do that better.  There are better pizza places in Glenview so I don't know that I'll be back.

We came here for the pizza, but their paninis are what will bring me back. The nice thing about Viccino's is that you can order a customizable slice of pizza with their many toppings. It's a healthy portion and really does the job.

I was surprised at how big and tasty the panino was. I went with the Italian and it was hot, toasty, and really good. My wife went with the chicken parm which was also good. The only negative is that seating is a challenge here unless it's nice out and you eat outside. Tight quarters at a bar. Get prepared to meet your neighbors.

We've recently given their Roma style pizza a try and it was just ok. I would stick with thin crust. The Roma was thinker and decent, but I found the crust a bit tasteless.

All in all, a great lunch spot. I may order from there today.

Just got my pizza delivered.  Don't know why people like this pizza.  The crust was soggy.  The topping were tasteless.  I can only assume the people that like it do not know what good pizza is!  Hard to find these days.  This was a very big disappointment.  My dog, however, did like the leftovers.

I love the Club Panino and the thin crust pizza. The Panino's come on fresh Ciabatta and with a dipping sauce. The thin crust is to-die-for as long as it is fresh and not been sitting and put in the oven  second time. The same guys have been working there for awhile now and work very quickly trying to make everyone happy. One time I had to wait awhile and they offered me a free soft drink. I love the food and this is definitely a Glenview gem even with the limited seating!

I always get the same thing here for lunch.  Italian panini.  The vinegarette sauce that comes with the sandwich is awesome.  I always ask for extra.  Also the guys at the counter are always super friendly and sometimes offer free chips not that I take it but its the thought that matters to me.

Came to get lunch here. Checked out without problems. Went to leave through the narrow hallway in the back. One black woman and three "morally challenged" black men walk in. I step to the side so as to quietly let them through; they took up all the room so I couldn't walk past them. One of the giant black men gets in my face and says -- and I quote directly -- "back the fuck off." I didn't even say a word to these assholes.

If you don't believe me, find me one guy out there insane enough to say a word to a group of three hoodlums.

I come home, I call the restaurant, and tell all this to the manager. He was more concerned getting me off the phone than calling the cops. Well, if it's the hood's right to say that to me, and it's the manager's right to blow me off when I tell him, then it's MY right to go get my pizza elsewhere. Fuck this place, and fuck the scum that eat in it.

This is the best pizza joint in the north suburbs. The ingredients are a great mix and blend of cheese, sauce, toppings and bread. They also make and sell sandwiches, soups, and salads. Behind the display glass is an assortment of domestic and foreign non-alcoholic beverages. They also have bottomless fountain drinks, as long as your in the dining area of course. The dining area consist of stools and some chairs and tables, certainly not enough to hold a group. The only thing that held me back from giving this establishment a full five stars was the fact that this place felt sterilized by the corporate culture. For years I've been to Uno Pizzeria, Gino's East, Giordano's, and Lou Malnati's and each one of them had this grimy, dark, clutter look. I got so use to that look from pizza joints, and anything going against that status quo would be betraying the Chicago style pizzeria.

Meh, so much meh.  I don't know how this is considered Chicago style deep dish.  Seemed like they made a regular pizza and then just put sauce on the top of it to make it look like one.  The crust was terrible, had the texture of old bread that was thrown in a microwave.  The sauce was okay though, maybe it was the saving grace of this pizza (albeit a bit on the watery side).  I wouldn't order this again or recommend it to a friend, but its not like it was uneatable... and I've definitely had worse.

There is no doubt a stuffed Viccino's pizza would be part of my final meal if I had to make that decision.  I fell in love with it many years ago when I used to ride my bike down Glenview Rd. and eat great pizza at one of the best people watching lunch spots in my hometown.

8 or so counter spots inside and 4 tables outside make it mostly carry-out or delivery type experience.  I haven't branched out and tried every type of food on the menu but for stuffed pizza it can't be beat. The sweet glorious sauce is so good I've consider taking a bath in it. I enjoy the Foccaia bread as an appetizer more than any other option, it's a good light bread excellent for dipping.

Keep up the good work Viccino's and I'll try to make it back as often as I can to enjoy what you do best.

I can't believe that I allowed my Viccino's rating to languish at four stars all this time.  They are one of my four regular lunch spots for a handful of excellent reasons.  First, their pan pizza is the best that you will find anywhere around here (meaning city AND suburbs) and their thin crust is also very, very good.  (Occasionally it will get slightly dry and over-crisp on the edges from the second trip through the oven.)  Second, they have pleasant outdoor seating in the summer, which is a boon because their indoors is cramped and noisy.  Third, they have had the same two guys working the front for the last couple of years, and they run the place efficiently and make you feel welcome in subtle ways.  I really appreciate that.

But truly, it's the pizza that brings me back over and over and over.  And of course, six bucks for two slices and a soda is still a hell of a deal.

Viccino's is a nice little pizza joint. They make some good thin crust pizza. Certainly not categorized as NY thin, but still pretty good in its own right. The slices are super thin and very big. I haven't had anything else here and I doubt it would be better since it's known as a thin crust place.

Good stuff!  Their house/garden salad is well worth mentioning--brimming with fresh, colorful veggies and dressed in a light and bright vinaigrette.  Their pizzas are fantastic.  The BBQ chicken was good...a sweeter BBQ sauce.  I prefer a more savory sauce but that's personal opinion.  The veggie pizza was solid.  Their pepperoni is the real show stopper.  All high quality ingredients here!

When i dream, i dream of Viccino's panino. the TUNA panino.

Yes, it is THAT serious. i really don't understand why there aren't as many raving reviews about this place considering how AWESOME it is. It might come off as a bit extreme when i say that i dream about it... but i mean it. I MEANT IT!

Every time i visit Chicago, i try to make time (or convince friends) to go out to Glenview and devour the tuna panino. i highly doubt that you're supposed to finish the whole thing by yourself... considering it's sized to feel perfectly uncomfortable if you finish the whole thing. But you feel like you're cheating yourself if you only eat half. The way i see it, if you're already third way done... might as well devour the rest. and i do!  it comes with the best vinegrette on the side (always ask for extra) and it's warm crusty bread that sandwhiches the tuna salad.. ohhhghghgghh... (whatever sound you make when you know you are completely satisfied with what you just had). it's just PERFECT.

Also a minor detail but i notice every time- their bathroom is always clean. i mean, the food is awesome... but i was always told that you can judge a home or restaurant by how clean the restroom is. (thanks, mom!)

This place is beyond fairly priced, clean, with great service.

oh.... i miss you, tuna panino.

and to the Viccino's Pizza Company- any thought's on brining out your awesomeness to the west coast??

The service and price here are great.  Pizzas... not so much.  My deep dish mushroom and sausage literally looked like a generic cheese deep dish that someone had dumped a pile of mushrooms and sausage on top of.  No cohesion at all.  That's right, no cohesion!

I admit I am picky about my pizza, but I def was not a fan.

There should be a ten star option! Went there for the first time about two months ago with my mom during her lunch break and have been addicted ever since! I've also taken my boyfriend and even suggested to my bosses to order from there on their lunch breaks; they've all LOVED it!!!

Have not tried their pizza yet, but #30 (Viccion's sandwhich) is freaken AHHHHMAZING! Whatever that dipping sauce is, i swear there's crack in it, cuz it leaves you wanting more!

The punch card is cool, and the same guy works every time i go in. Very freindly and polite!

Food can take a while because they are always insanely busy, so it's best to call in your order ahead of time :).

I hope to try their pizza soon, that is if i can stop ordering the same sandwhich every time i go in there!! Mmmm...

If we didn't live so close to Viccino's, we probably would rarely if ever eat at this neighborhood pizza joint.  That having been said, the pizza is pretty good (I like the whole wheat crust option.)  Their sandwiches are also pretty decent (the Italian beef is surprisingly good considering it's primarily a pizza place.   The Italian "panino" is also quite good--it's like a sub served on foccacia with some nice dipping vinaigrette.

It's a nice place to sit outside and watch the cars drive by on Glenview Road (except that you have to swat away the wasps.)  If you sit inside, it's at a bar in front of the window.  I'd suggest carry out.

Their thin crust paesan pizza with chicken - basically a BBQ chicken pizza - is the best I've ever had.  I like to stick with what works so I can't tell you about the rest of the menu, but this pizza is amazing.  Loads of chicken, cheese, cilantro, onions and BBQ.  LOVE IT!

Surprisingly good pizza from Viccino's. They actually use fresh ingredients. That alone is worth a few stars. The crust was very tasty as well to add on an extra star. I tried a Pepperoni pizza and a sausage, green pepper, and onion pizza.

Probably one of the BEST Chicago pan crust pizza I have had. Better than Gino, Giordano,Due or the Chicago Uno. I tried the Spinach pizza and boy it was good, real good. Looking forward to my next visit to Chitown and getting out to this place..

    Oh Viccinos --

I want to give them more than three stars because honestly, I enjoy it enough to return time after time.  However, I order frequently for delivery and each time, they make the same mistakes.  No onions means don't put the onions on my salad, mmmkay?  Thanks.

First off I'm a city girl, born and bred, so the thought of thin crust pizza for lunch...hmmm.

I am more the deep dish variety ( spinach, mushroom, sausage).
But when you have kids, at least mine, they take over the vote of what kind of pizza to order.  The thin crust sausage was actually very good.  The pizza sauce was the right tang and sweet.  The crust was Not too thin that it loses it's integrity, nor too thick.
We will be frequent fliers to this establishment.  Now all I have to do is collect 9 more tickets that are attached to every pizza ordered.
10 tickets=1 free small pizza.  Yahoo!

Just a basic Pizza place.  The sausage and cheese thin crust was good but not great.  The crust was very average, I would have liked it more crispy. The antipasto salad was decent.  The price is reasonable.  For an affordable Pizza, Viccino's is a great place.  For gourmet, I would go with a more traditional deep dish place.

I love this spot - my office stops by the northfield and plaza del prado locations for lunch all of the time.  Great selection of gourmet pizzas - also served by the slice as well as salads, pastas and paninos.  The service is always friendly and they are good about getting your food to you in a timely manner when you are on a lunchtime crunch.  I know they deliver and I have also heard that you can get pizzas prepared which you can cook at home and also have shipped.  They have five locations, so if you come across one, definitely stop in!
