Great lounge-type atmosphere. Waitstaff are very nice (but only limited apps, no dishes). Great selection of beers on tap and wines are self serve. If you want to watch a game, don't go here though. There's only one low quality tv at the bar. There's also a patio section for the smokers.
Review Source:I have been to this place two times. On the first trip, we sampled several of the beers offered. It seems that most of the beers come from the "Brooklyn Brewery". We were definitely not impressed with the selection.  There were two good ones, five so-so ones, and one almost undrinkable one.  The second time, we purchased a wine card and began sampling the wines. The place was only about three quarters full, but the bartender seemed overwhelmed by it all and we  waited a very long time until he found time to take our food order, and an even longer time until the food appeared.  He was the only person there to take care of both the bar, wine selections, tables, and sitting area.  In his defense, that is just too much for one person to handle. Perhaps that is why when I tried to get some Sangria from one of the wine dispensers, and nothing but foam and air came out, and I told him the bottle was empty, he ignored me, said OK and went about his business.  The concept of wine dispensers and quality draft beer is a promising one, but this place with  a sub par selection of beer and an uncaring staff does not fulfill that promise.
Review Source:GREAT PLACE to go for a brew or wine tasting. Â They are always rotating a fantastic selection of craft beers. Â Also, they have a huge selection of wines dispensed by a tasting card. They keep their reds at proper cellar temperature, not room temperature. Great atmosphere and CLEAN. Love love love. Go and check it out.
Review Source:All I have to say is thank God for this place! It is my favorite hangout in Port St. Lucie (besides Shindig Irish pub) - a city definitely not known for its nightlife (sadly). Â
The staff has always been very friendly and the crowd is always interesting. They always have a great selection of wines and, being somewhat of a "beer snob" - their often-changing lineup of draft brews never fails to please. I love the variety of "dessert" wines available (the vanilla Pinot Grigio is to die for) and I love the fact that you can take your favorites home with you (bring back the Baby Cham!) Definitely the jewel in the St. Lucie West crown.
OK is best way I can put it. Never felt welcome I think was the main reason. Lot of regular locals seem to go here and if you are alone and at the bar, like I was, you can feel out of place quickly.
They have a lot of wines and beers. The wines offered are OK to alright. Give you 3 options, small taste, half glass and glass out of automatic dispensers. You buy a card similar to a debit card and use that in the dispensing machines.
The bartender asked what I was drinking and I said may I see the wine list, being new here, and he handed me a beer menu. ?? So I asked again and was given vague direction how it worked. The woman at the front was much more helpful when I went up to figure things out.
They have a large selection of beers and I felt the bar was for beer drinkers and tables for wine. As a wine drinker traveling for work sitting at the bar, well felt like I didn't belong.
They have virtually no food. They offer cheese and meat appetizers and desert. A few more small dishes would make this place better. I tried a meat & cheese plate and it was OK, but nothing special.
I like the concept overall, but would rather go someplace where there is food and more of  mix of patrons.
I'm from the pacific northwest, a land filled with delicious beers and renowned for craft brews, beer festivals and locally grown hops. My wonderful parents live right around the corner from this place, so I was curious to check it out.
I must say: we have many fine bars with impressive selections of craft brews where I come from but V & B is in a class of its own.
It has an elegant atmosphere, impressive selections of beer and a super-friendly, knowledgeable staff. I felt right at home.
As an extra bonus, I got to introduce my family to a range of wonderful craft brews, some of which are a challenge to find even in my neck of the woods.
I had a wonderful time and will be sure to stop by whenever I'm in town.
Stopped by on the way back to Miami to see what this place was. My friends had come by on multiple occasions to pick up growlers of specialty beers and that's probably the only reason that I would make the trek up from So Fla - super rare stuff, and if I was passing by on business.
There's wine, cheese, beer, and a little charcuterie as well. The tap and wine selection are decent.
If I lived in the area I would probably visit more often.
Definitely one of the best beer selections I've ever seen in St. Lucie County. Â There had to be at least a dozen unique tap handles behind the bar, and most of those were interesting beers at that (beyond the usual Budweiser, Miller Lite, etc.).
The wine selection isn't bad--I gotta wonder why they  have so many Ed Hardy wines available (seriously?!  I mean...who even knew that they made Ed Hardy wines, let alone that they were so many varietals of it?).  There were probably 2 dozen reds, a dozen whites, a few desserts, and even a Madeira that you could sample.  The prices are fair, and the space is nice-enough.  A good addition to the SLC nightlife scene.
If you are a beer and wine lover then the Vine and Barley, or the V & B as I call it, is for you. I like the place for the unique selection of beers on tap and my wife loves all the different wines she can sample. It has a nice cozy atmospere and the service is excellent.
When we went they didn't open until 6p so we had 45 minutes to kill. They saw us standing outside and opened the doors and let us come in early. That was solid and that is one of the reasons why I love the V & B.
Overall, the V & B is a good place to chill out after work or to have a couple glasses of wine before going to dinner ( they only serve little apps at the V & B). Remember to tell Kevin and Mark (the owners) Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
I was so craving for wine tasting, and was a bit skeptical of this place since there were only two reviews posted on Yelp. But desperate times calls for desperate measures; so I took a risk and I was pleasantly surprised. Â It was my first experience w/ a mechanical sommelier.
This whole concept of buying a card to purchase wine similar to how a debit card works at an ATM, but instead of withdrawing money, wine pours out electronically as a taste, a half glass, or full glass... (this concept) is truly impressive to a novice.  So instead of sitting at a wine bar reading a wine list and having suggestions by a sommelier, one must walk around in order to read the descriptions of the wine above each bottle.  This  innovative way of wine tasting is pretty cool, I must say.
Despite the fun, contemporary concept, I prefer the old fashion wine bars. I like building a rapport w/ the wine expert and sitting at the bar socializing w/ those around me.  Also the wine machines are too precise w/ the pours. No chance of batting your eyes at the sommelier to get a few extra drops... unless of course you get to know the owner:) Yes the "Vine and Barley" owner ( Kevin) was very gracious and attentive.  And it was great meeting Floridians like Holly and Julia... definitely a  memorable night!
Great place!!!
A wide selection of reds and whites to try by the glass (sip, half glass or full glass- each a different price). If you LOVE it you can buy a bottle too.
Not only that but they have a good beer selection too - draft and bottle. It's a great place whether you are a beer or wine person.
The bartender is very nice as is the owner.
Put $20 bucks on your wine card and have a blast!
Vine and Barley is one awesome place to come and sample wine. The concept is incredible - you get a plastic card (like a credit card), put a pre-paid amount on it, and then go around and pick which tastes of wine you'd like to try. For example, you can try a 1 oz taste, a 4 oz (I think) half glass, and 8 oz (I think) full glass and each dollar amount gets progressively higher. As I recall, the 1 oz taste was an average of $1.20.
They also have beer (hence, barley) and some small edibles like cheese and crackers.
I was there for a networking event in March (St Patty's Day) and had a grand ole time parading around trying different flavors of wine.
The atmosphere is somewhat like a modern coffee shop / cafe / lounge and is very comfortable. I'm definitely going back with friends. - besides, I have some money left over on my card!
