I'm a big fan, especially of the Saturday brunch buffet. Classic Southern cooking done very, very well. Weekday breakfast selections, unfortunately, are limited and mediocre. On the other hand, the lunch buffet on selected weekdays is very good and the baked goods are amazing. Their doughnuts are what Krispy Kreme doughnuts want to be when they grow up.
Some will find the religious decorations off-putting. I find them homey and warm. You feel like you're dining at the home of a deeply religious family.
Be sure to try the doughnuts.
We left No. VA early am and by the time we hit Amherst we were starving.  We turned into the shopping center where this Blessed Bakery (perfect name) hides and was surprised beyond any expectation.  Hands down the best bread I have ever had.  I dream of it and am planning our 4th of July travels to include the Saturday buffet in our journey.  I haven't had breakfast like that since I left LA and Brents Deli  Sweet, kind service as well.
Review Source:I'll be stopping again. The lunch buffet looked wonderful but we settled on a hamburger on a home made roll. Excellent.
The real star was the Apple Fritter. I stopped by on my return trip to buy one of the pies on display during our earlier visit. But they were sold out. I was happy with more apple fritters!
