Ordered a Roasted Mellanzana Wrap (Grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, oil, balsamic vinaigrette) and a Greek salad for delivery. For the wrap it did not seem like the eggplant was grilled, it seemed more breaded and fried. The wrap was ok but the eggplant was not very tasty, I do not think I would order it again, rather try something new. The greek salad was good but they should up grade their stale pitas to fresh flat bread. Also I am not sure what type of lettuce normally comes with the salad because I requested romaine, I have had some bad experiences with greek salads around the Somerville area so I always request the type of lettuce I would like.

I love this place.  The delievery is fast and friendly, and the marinara sauce that comes with the Calzone is evidence that there is in fact a God.  I have ordered from her 45 times in the past 2 years, and they always have done the right thing.  The food is excellent.

Ok, so I ordered fried ravioli, they came un-batterer, confusing right and well not what I ordered. Also, I ordered stuffed shells, so it comes with garlic bread right...or so I thought, I got just cold plain bread. I wouldn't order here again.

Stopped in for takeout. Decided on an Italian Sub w/ everything and a Greek salad. The sub was amazing on so many levels. A phenom sub, people!

The Greek salad was good, dressing was tasty & peppers spot on. Only negative was not enough kalamata olives (2) and a little too much parmesan. And if only a few more purple onion and cukes. Can't wait to try another sub on the menu!

    Well done White Sport!!!!

I sometimes try other sub shops but always end up back here.  The California turkey sub, a specialty sub, cannot be competed with.  It's AWESOME!!

The chicken salad is delish, too.  Just the right amount of salt which makes me happy.

I've recently found this place via Foodler.   Saw the mixed reviews, but thought I'd give them a try with their Specialty sandwiches.  I've ordered 3 more times since I got my first specialty -- which was a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was the consistency of tuna salad and delicious.  The special, crusty sub rolls are a great combination with the chicken salad.  Highly recommend.  I've also tried these specialty sandwiches -- the Capicolla (with grilled, breaded eggplant), the chicken cordon bleau, and the prosciutto mozzarella -- all came on the same crusty loaf and were superior to the typical sub shop fare.  I'm a sub guy, not a pizza guy, so I can't attest to their pizzas -- and, on all orders, the delivery was fast and friendly.

I have only had the subs here but they are fantastic.  The bread is so soft and tasty.  I usually pick up my food but ordered on grub hub tonight (no delivery fee thank you White Sport) and I was shocked at how quickly my food arrived.  It was 30 minutes earlier than expected and it was steaming hot and delicious.  The people are so nice also.  Very pleased every time I get subs from here.

Ordered from Foodler because it was one of the few places with Chicken Carbonara listed on the menu in the Somerville area.

Portion wise the damn thing was huge, however portions are only good if the quality matches. Sadly it was not that great-the chicken was tasty but the ham was not. There was no peas and way too much sauce.  Delivery was a tad slow.

    Skip it.

Lived in Somerville my entire life before moving to Maynard a few years back - I take the half hour drive every couple of months or so to come back here.  The subs are GREAT.  One of the top two in the city (the other being Victor's on Broadway).  Good sandwich places are hard to find out in Metrowest...but if you live in the area, this place won't disappoint.

We ordered a large hawaiian pizza last night and the toppings were minimal, and the entire pizza was over-saturated with cheese.  We could barely taste anything except for all of the globs of cheese on it.  I need a new neighborhood pizza place.  For $15 for a large pizza, I expected a lot more than just tons of melted gooey cheese.

Two  words "Specialty Sandwiches", rest of the menu is the same as other pizza joints but specialty sandwiches are excellent.

I tried all of them and all are pretty delicious. They use special bread and spend good amount of time making these sandwiches.  My favorite one is "Prosciutto Mozzarella Sandwich".

Also the people who work there are very nice which is very important for me.

Never ordered  for delivery so I can't speak for it but the pick up orders are made fast enough.

This place is standard, you aren't going to think about what you ate in an hour and you probably aren't going to rave about it to a friend.

Every thing I've had there rests at about a 5.  Their subs are okay, but offer nothing special.  Their pizza is pretty bland.  I order from here every once in a while because it's literally right next door, and it's pretty hard to mess up a turkey sub.

The best thing on their menu is their grilled chicken salad.  It's huge, certainly enough for two.

The worst thing is their fried raviolis.  Ugh. Wince. Gross. Shudder.  They are dry, crusty on the end and their cheese is like powder.  SKIP THESE.

The prices are moderate, to high.  For the quality of subs, they need to lower their prices by about a dollar.

In the end, stick with the subs.  Stay away from the raviolis.

Well, the people who work there are very nice, and a slice of cheese pizza is only a dollar, but... it's pretty vile pizza. With bland sauce and bland cheese, they have only the crust to rely on for flavor. What a shame that the flavor of the crust can only be described as freezer-burnt.

I am only giving this place two stars because the people seem nice.  The food was awful, my god how does anyone eat this stuff.  A sidewalk vendor with a gorilla working the stand would make a better sandwich.  Yuk!

I'm surprised by the mediocre overall reviews for this place, where I've gotten takeout probably a dozen times a month for the last five years; I can't recall ever getting anything on the menu that isn't at least pretty damn good for the price/what the item is/where the place is located.  I'm particularly partial to the grilled chicken salad, the steak bomb, the tuna sub, and the stuffed olives; I've found all of their ingredients to be of surprisingly high quality.  Maybe I'm easy to please, and maybe I'm partial to the fact that it's located around the corner from my house and that everyone who works there is super-friendly, but I'd recommend them without hesitation.

I definitely like White Sport.  Not only are they walking distance from my house but they will deliver to my house that is a block away!  I know that sounds lazy but when it is raining or you've had a tough day at work and the last thing you want to do is make dinner or be out in public...they don't judge me....I call Whites...they haven't let me down yet..I order my food, they deliver it and haven't made a mistake yet.....I give it 4 stars because they are a legit pizza & sub place with good prices.  If you are looking for a gourmet meal...don't order from here...they are a pizza place.... pizza, salads, and onion rings are yummy.....the pasta is over cooked.....

Growing up on Long Island, most of the pizza shops in my area were Greek run. So when I moved to Somerville I got really excited when I found this pizza shop at my corner. What a bust! I give it two stars because the subs are alright, their eggplant is pretty good if not a little greasy and usually even a tad burnt. But what really dragged this down was the pizza. Disgusting! The pizza was basically a box full of GREASE with a little pizza underneath. The crust was at the same time burnt AND soggy and the sauce was much too sweet. A total disappointment. If you're in the area, walk another block towards Broadway and go to Pini's!

Yuck! On a recommendation from someone here I tried the meatball sub, because I love a meatball sub. It was cold, gristly, and the cheese was like cardboard. Because I love meatball subs so much, I ordered another one a week later, just to make sure it wasn't a bad day. It was even worse than the first one!

I also tried the broccoli bites, which are an awesome idea, but their oil isn't hot enough so they came out mushy and greasy.

There's too many great delivery places around Davis Sq. to waste your money here.

UPDATE: Seriously, people, when you can get awesome subs at Victor's in Ball Sq., or Bob's Food in Medford, why on Earth are you giving this crappy storefront 4 and 5 star reviews? Yelp can be so wrong sometimes, and White Sport's 4-star rating is an affront to good pizza/sub takeout joints the world over.

Good Greek Pizza and Pastas! The Owner is from Greece.  Good father of a daughter and son.( talk about his son and daughter a lot) The place is very clean and organized. They carefully cook all the food and serves in a fast paste. They open late at night till 11:00pm. Good Cheap restaurant to go for late evenings!

I don't really care much about their other food there, but omg yay! They have broccoli bites. I used to always have to go to Bennigan's for my broccoli bite fix.  My friends swear by their pizza, but as a non-pizza eater I cannot vouch for it. The subs have always been good, and the service fast. I just have to break my habit of always calling it White Power.

I have been getting the meatball sub here at least once a week for the past 5 months.  This is by far the best meatball sub I have ever had on a consistant basis.  They are quick, friendly and cheap.   I am going to miss this place when I leave the "Ville" in a month.

    Updates:

My initial experience was wonderful, but a few more times, and the honeymoon has ended. Sometimes the fried ravioli are delicious and delicate squares of heaven. Other times they are rubbery, nonbreaded crap. Don't even consider hamburgers, they are below McDonalds' standard. My High School cafeteria made better patties. Still wonderfully nice people, and very quick delivery, but the inconsistancy on some items coupled with those awful burgers just isn't worth dealing with. If you stick to the meatball sub/steak and cheese/plain pizza areas, you should be fine.

I've only seen the elusive White Sport once, while consoling a friend after some work shake-ups. We went to the Magoun Saloon.

My review is therefore based entirely on delivery, which is the fastest I've received in Somerville. It's really nice to be surprised by how quickly your food arrives for a change, and the fact that it's cheap is icing on the cake.  Beyond that, you really can't expect much more than decent food, but again, the White Sport surprises-- The delivery guys are always incredibly nice. Not in the grating, obsequious way you get more and more in the Boston area, but in a generally just happy and friendly way. On top of all that delivery excellence, the food is good!

Fried ravioli were incredibly yummy, and piled ridiculously high around a ramekin of sauce. As others have said, the small cheese pizza is a bit greasy, but in an enjoyable way. You can tell that the greasiness isn't from inferior ingredients, but intentional. Fish and chips were cooked perfectly, not the least burnt nor soggy, but were the breaded kind. Friday is fish day because on the fifth day God said, "Any 5-star fish and chips plate shall be fried in light batter." Where the White Sport really shines is in its subs and sandwiches. Hearty, simple, good. I haven't tried them all, but as I work my way through the menu, nothing has really been disapointing.

This is a great local spot.  Grilled chicken salad was one of my favorites, and all their subs and pizzas were always good too.  I no longer live in the area, but if I did, I'd definitely still be going there.

i'm basing this review just on their meatball sub.  maybe it was just the luck of the draw, but it may have been the best meatballl sub i've had.

Great pizza, small does indeed taste different than large. Great selection of drinks, probably helps to visit first, to get an idea of the drink options.

I just left this area and can't tell you how much I miss White Sport.  They were so friendly and convenient and they can make a mean Italian sub.  I liked to eat-in there right by the window 'cuz no one else does.  Oh and the young guy behind the counter would call me sweetheart... which had no bearing on the quality of the place, but still made me smile when walking my food home.

I am absolutely obsessed with the small cheese pizza at this place. It's so good, BUT don't try the large one! It tastes totally different. The small cheese is only $5. You really can't beat that! They have subs too, but they're not the greatest. I'm telling you, get the small cheese pizza!
