This restaurant is located in the old Skins Tavern building. Â The interior has been completely redone with only the old bar and stage remaining. Â This is a chain, which I wouldn't have guessed and only found out while trying to find the website. Â There are several TV's in both the dining and bar area, and this is a sport's bar/restaurant so it does get a little noisy during games. Â We've been twice during the "soft" opening, the pizza has been excellent and the beer was cold. Â The wings looked good, but I haven't tried them yet.
Pizza is great! Â I love the fact you can order jalapenos as a topping, and it's the only place I have found in the Lynchburg area that lets you do so. Â This is definitely the best pizza in Mad Heights and maybe Lynchburg, but I still have several more places to try. Â My wife didn't really care for the chicken wrap, but on our second visit she had the Philly cheesesteak and declared it a winner.
They do have to iron out a few kinks to earn a fourth star from me. Â First, service is spotty at best, food for the table should come out at the same time, there was about a 5 minute gap on both visits. Â It took almost 10 minutes on the second visit for our waitress to bring me my beer that I could see setting on the bar. Â Second, the owners are foreign and don't really understand which games should be on the numerous TV's. Â Entertainment Tonight was on one of the large screens on the first visit, while baseball play-offs were on the smaller screens. Â When asked by some other patrons, the owner switched it happily enough. Â Both of these gripes are easy to fix, which hopefully will be done in time for the grand opening this week.
