Decent sports bar with a very large menu ranging from wings to fancy dinners. We were here for lunch - they have a huge list of tap beers but they didn't have a copy of the list so we went with two domestic house light on tap. Ordered a cup of lobster bisque which was very good. Then had the appetizer or roasted pepper bruschetta - it missed the mark for me. I only ate 1 - it just seemed like they opened a jar of chopped roasted peppers and topped with a few raisins and pignoli nuts. Guess I was expecting them to be more "marinated" and made with roasted peppers they made in house. Hubby had the sliders which were good but to me, over cooked. Fries were delicious. I would try it again but I think they need to scale down the menu a bit and focus on what they know they can do well.

Not the best atmosphere, a lot going on and just very confusing. Staff late at night was two young girls and one bar back that i could see babysitting drunk college kids...not sure i would make it a regular hangout spot

The calamari was a little cold as well as the sauce and they sure gave me a lot lol my sister got the egg rolls which were very spicy. I would come late nights but mostly drinks at the bar their food is not where its at.

Food was good. They're trying this while fancy bar food with the menu and honestly it works. I had a chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon which I really enjoyed. Also got to watch the Miami Hurricanes game and they have lots of TVs to enjoy from your seat.

Service sucked, but food was good. Also got a beer, can't really mess that up though.

Very friendly upbeat staff. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Local crowd. Great hang out! 20% off your check just for checking in on yelp... Thanks Wowies!!

It's an okay bar since it reopened.  I think they may be in some sort of identity crisis.  It seems like they are going for a sports bar theme with a Hooters/BWW twist that doesn't fit right.  You have a sports bar but girls at the hostess desk dressed like they are going to prom.  Now, as a guy, I get it.  I'm not complaining but it's sort of humorous because it doesn't jive at all.  If it were a tad more upscale it would work but it's similar to having Ferrari's for sale on a Honda lot....it sure is nice but it sparks confusion.

Anyways, the new menu is great...lots of good food.  Bartenders are okay.  Everything here is sort of tailored to the younger crowd or UFC/Tap Out-types from what I gathered.  That's cool if that's your thing.  Not mine, though.  That being said, no reason I wouldn't throw back another few there.

    My favorite bar in Boca!
Live Music, Great Drinks, Great Atmosphere, And Great Prices!
Definitely a bar for college students as well as slightly more mature adults.

Good bar to watch a big sporting event.

Nothing spectacular about this place, but for a big fight you're sure to see a packed house and odds are that your waitress or bar tender will be flaunting her goods and giving you a good reason to tip well. Other than the silicon breasts, the burgers also looked juicy and the wings looked good too, the grilled ones especially. The mixed liquor drinks are in a pretty small cup and even worse is theyre heavy on ice, ripoff for sure. The beer selection isn't bad but is put to shame by Brickyard which is in the same plaza. I dig the intimate feel of Wowies though, and the pool tables are a good option also, but the only reason to come here is for a big fight when other bars don't have PPV.  I've pulled up to this place on plenty of other occasions and immediately drove away due to it being dead.

If Brickyard hired waitresses that looked like Wowies girls and not Taco Bell employees, and if they showed PPV fights, Wowies would probably be shut down for good.

All in all, a safe bet and not a bad option for a fight

The truth is Wowies is a mix of Packy's with a touch of Hooters. The girls don't prance around in tight tops (well some do), but the concept is the same. PYT's serving beer and wings while you watch your favorite sporting event.

A few months ago Wowies closed down and then recently reopened under new management. The temporary shut-down wasn't great for business because it allowed the new Brickyard Brewery to siphon many of their customers, and of course in that time Yardhouse opened up too. So Wowies now has to slowly earn back their business and find the right recipe for success.

Their menu has changed a little, but if you're going to Wowies for pasta primavera or broccoli rabe then you don't respect your palate. It's a bar so they have bar food and quite honestly, there is nothing wrong with that. If you're here to watch the UFC fight, then why would you need anything other than burgers or wings? I'd stick to what makes bar food bar food. This past Saturday I had both and I think they happened to be just great. I will say the drinks we ordered were kind of water-downed. I can't say for sure but I wouldn't be surprised if my Kettle One was probably Absolute.

The environment is better than many other local sport bars. It's not over-crowded, it's not completely full of douches, though they do come out in droves when there is a big fight on PPV.

The service was great too, though they seem to have an extraordinary turn-over rate with the staff so chances are the next time you go in you won't have the same waiter. Early 20 PYT's tend to hop around.

I would easily recommend this place as a sports bar to go with a gang of friends and watch an event, especially UFC. This ain't a date night place so don't get it twisted. This isn't a better option than Yardhouse if you want better food and more of a drink selection. This is a sports bar that does just that, give you tons of sports inside a bar. Their wings are just as good if not better than other bars. Their burgers were juicy and came with a side of both sweets and regular fries. I hope this place survives because it won't get many more redos. Wowies is a great fit for central Boca and one of the better sports bars in the area.

Great prices on draft beers, I really like this place a lot. It's great to just hang out and is one of the few local places that are open till 2 AM in Boca when everything shuts down at 10 PM. I wish they could do something to entice me to go on weekdays like Taco Tuesday, used to Cantina on Wall Street and it was $2 dollar tequila shots, beers and margaritas.  Packed every tuesday! Just offer something to get my friends out of the house on weekdays.

Pleasantly surprised, great food, music and tv's for sports.

Had no expectations after making decision to come here only after finding it within close proximity to my hotel, but walked in and the owner offered me a wing off of his plate. Couldn't ask for more as an out of town guest. Service was great, food was delicious!

Dave's wings are the way to go!

Will be back again next time.

    Thank you

I have lived in S Florida for 23 years and this is my favorite sports bar by far. The exposed brick gives and warm feeling, there are plenty of well-positioned tv's and the staff is incredibly friendly. Prices are great on drinks. Definitely worth a try...

Very rude owner. Very disorganized staff. Loud tvs. Have to walk through a wall of smokers outside. Food is mostly greasy choices. Not a comfortable place IMHO

I was pretty unhappy with my experience at Wowies, but I was there attending a fundraiser hosted at Wowie's and was impressed that they donated a portion of the proceeds to the cause. So they get a star for that.

In terms of the service, I will attest that our waitress was attractive, but she was extremely forgetful and disorganized. She came back to the table several times to re-ask what we ordered because she forgot. Towards the end of our meal, the waitress disappeared for a good 10-15 minutes and we were not able to get our checks in any kind of timely manner.

To top the cake for providing bad service, she gave herself a hefty tip more than was written on the original slip. I am not sure if she still works there anymore after this was communicated to the manager, but it definitely provided for an overall poor experience that was enough to keep me from going back.

For a sport's bar they've got a good collection of food options and changes on regular bar food.
They have burgers with different cheeses, a great rib sandwich and amazing appetizer sampler.
It's definitely loud and crowded most of the time but it's still a good place to go to hang with friends.
The outside area is great for gathering and there's even some fun games to play.
I know they also have karaoke sometimes but I'd not been there on one of those nights.

My wife and I ate at Wow!es a few days ago. The staff is extremely pleasant, attentive, and attractive. We watched the Superbowl game and had dinner and a few drinks. One of the owners came around the tables pouring us shots in excitement for the event. The owners mixed in with the crowd letting everyone know that they had just taken over the restaurant as new owners and were excited that we had come to Wow!es. They left a very friendly and inviting impression. Kinda felt like a bar that we had been going to for years... Cheers anyone?

The restaurant has several TVs so you are always in view of several shows. They have events that go on all week like trivia, live music, and other fun stuff. What!? They have their ladies night on Friday?? That's awesome. I really like the location too. We have visited a few times after the first Superbowl visit and will keep on coming back!!

You have to go and see this place!

My friends that live nearby recommended this place, so a group of us visited it on Saturday night to watch one of the college football games. The staff was very friendly and they have a couple of very attractive ladies among them.

They have pretty decent drink specials: 5 for $10 domestic buckets and 5 for $15 imports. My friends ordered 50 wings and they couldn't eat them all, so I tried 4 or 5. They were pretty good. Not the best I've ever had, but solid to above average. The setup in the place is pretty standard, but they have enough TVs for a sports bar, including a large one that they put the game we wanted to watch on. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I'd go back to Wowie's the next time I'm in the area...

I had heard about this place several times, more as a bar than for food, but couldn't place it.....it's the old Khaki's location in Central Boca.  Nice, clean, family run sport's bar.  Music was too high energy for lunch time, but the service was good and so was the food.  I split the Greek Salad and some naked, grilled wings.  The salad was good but nothing spectacular.  However the wings were great....may even beat out Bru's Room for grilled wings.  They had a crispiness to them.

I would definitely go back.....and maybe even check out the bar one night.

This is a great little sports bar.  They have an outdoor patio with a separate bar and a friendly staff.

I didn't have any food so I can't really review for more than people and ambiance, but, on both counts, Wowies lives up to it's name.

I had lunch today during a World Cup. I had the Blackjack Burger, which was delicious. A little spicy, just how I like it. And it was served with mixed fries - a mixture of sweet potato fries and regular fries.

Will definitely keep on coming back throughout the 2010 World Cup and beyond.
