Terrible service!!!! I work in the Fenway area and decided to come in or a sandwich and a beer on my lunch break. Big mistake! It took 10 minutes just to order a drink! There were maybe 8-10 people on one aide of the wrap around bar so I decided to sit on the less crowded side. I guess it was less crowed for a reason, the bartenders (of which there were 2!) never came to that side.  Once I did order a beer it took another 10 minutes to track down the bartenders to order my lunch with came completely over cooked. I didn't sent it back and suffered through it cause who knows how long it would take to get a new meal. Over very poor service I don't think I'll be coming back for lunch anytime soon.

I am so over you, Yard House.

Let me just preface this with, I come her a lot. I work in the area, live nearby, and my gym is right down the street. So coming here for drinks after work, lunchtime, or post CrossFit OMIGODIWANTTOEATALLTHETHINGS happens quite often.

But we have gotten such horrible service here too many times to put up with it anymore. Which is a shame because we would regularly come here with 20+ CrossFitters ready to EATALLOFTHEFOOD and have $400+ bills and yet were treated like the biggest inconvenience ever. It's gotten to the point where we have been burned so many times by Yard House we started going to Game On instead!

The latest was when we showed up on a Sunday evening and the place was dead. This was after a two day competition where we were out in the sun and the heat, lifting heavy things. There was about 15 of us to start with friends trickling in during the course of the meal. And as per usual, we were treated by the staff like a group of petulant children. Completely unreasonable. We were just tired and hungry. We didn't even have much energy to be talkative. They messed up a bunch of our drinks, including my Youngberry stout, a beer cocktail made from Young's Chocolate Stout and raspberry framboise. When a waiter brought it to me he said, "Who has the Youngberry Stout?" I said thank you and took a sip. No framboise. A finally flagged down what appeared to be our head waiter and he snapped at me, "We are out of framboise." Well sir, then why did you take my order and then not communicate that to me? And why did your co-worker hand me the drink and tell me it was a Youngberry? He eventually switched the beer out to a Clown Shoes Clementine.

This same waiter was rude to my friend when he asked who was sharing the cookie sundae and she said it was just her.

This wasn't just an isolated incident. Yesterday I was coming here with co-workers and we where would be a good place to set up for just some casual apps and drinks. Again, the place was dead. The hostess sent us to the back bar, where we were promptly sent back up to the front because they were having a private party. We walked back up to the front (this happened on the Sunday after competition as well) and the two hostesses argued with each other on walkie talkies for a while till the manager showed up and suggested pushing tables together. They then fought over which ones and who was going to do it. The first hostess we spoke to actually said, "Do you expect ME to do that?" I then offered to push the damn tables together myself because I just wanted to sit down and have a drink at that point.

I'm sure I'll be back. It's inevitable. The food is yummy and the beer selection is good. But seriously Yard House, train your staff on customer service. You guys are kind a joke.

I stopped into the Yardhouse yesterday prior to catching a show at the House of Blues.  I had read some poor yelp reviews but decided instead to rely on direct word of mouth, that being my boyfriend having had a good experience.  Our waiter was pleasant, explained the beer list and let us decide what we wanted.  We started with the moo shu egg rolls.  They came out super fast and they were so delicious.  Creamy, spicy, nutty, everything all in one.  My boyfriend and I each ordered a 2 taco plate and split the tacos.  I liked the chicken tinga better than the short rib, which I thought was a little too charred.  As other reviewers wrote, the rice is a little bland to be called "spicy rice" but with some of the tinga sauce on it, it was spot on.  Maybe the restaurant could consider "saucing" up the rice, offering diners options such as the tinga sauce, maybe a green salsa verda.. whatever they already have.  Overall, out experience was great, two tacos was plenty of food and not bad for the price either.

I went to the Yard House today for my birthday lunch with 6 other co-workers, after having several good experiences here in the past.  While the food and beer were really good, the service was awful!!!  Complete lack of attention from the waitress, we had to wave her over every time to place our drink orders, appetizers, lunch, and then again for more drinks.  During the 2nd drink order she started to walk away before all of us had ordered.  After almost 2 hours of being there we flagged her down for the check and to see the manager.  I overheard a few of my co-workers exclaim that they wouldn't be going here again.

I was really bummed that my birthday lunch was ruined when I specifically chose this place because of the beer selection and the food.  I was shocked that the service was so poor, especially when the Red Sox were away and it was barely busy.

So went here before concert at Fenway. It was crazy busy but we managed to snag a seat at the bar. Love the beer selection ordered a beer and got it quick life is good. Well after that first beer our glasses sat empty for 15 min I'm not kidding and we wanted to order food too. I asked one of the waitresses who rolled her eyes at me and told me I would have to wait. Really!!?? So rude. Finally ordered food and another beer. 25 min later asked about food same rude waitress told us its busy there so we would have to be patient. Food came 40 min later no not kidding. I got ahi burger which was pretty good my husband got pepper burger medium it was literally raw! A manager came out apologized and took it off the bill but we had no time to order again due to already being there 2 hours.  Only reason gets 2 stars is for good beer selection.
Ugh I will never go here again.

So a group of friends and I walked to the front door and were greeted by bouncers. They wanted to see ID's, but we let them know that we just wanted to eat, so they let us in!

The beer selection is awesome for those who love a good cold pint (or half a yard LOL) , but their other drinks are pretty good as well.

We ordered the Truffle Fries and they were great, though a little greasy.

I tried the Baja Fish Tacos, and I'd give them a 7/10.  The tacos themselves were pretty good, but nothing extraordinary.  The beans were nice and flavorful with a nice, subtle kick.  The rice, however, were tasteless and bland, so I mixed them with beans.

This is a great spot to meet with friends, or to go to after a baseball game.

If you want to make a reservation, ask to speak to the manager over the phone. The wait can be pretty long if you don't come early enough.

A few weeks ago, we had a truly exceptional customer service experience, and felt compelled to write a review.  I have been to many fine dining establishments around the country, but rarely, if ever, have I encountered the solid level of service.

We have always been a fan of the Yard House ever since encountering the restaurant during our frequent travels to Chicago, and I've always been a big fan based on the beer selection.  I have some unique beer interests, and have always been impressed that they have some of my favorite German beers on tap.   When Yard House opened in Dedham we were psyched, but not a fan of the drive out of Boston.   When it opened in Fenway, I was even happier.  Not only for the beer, but also the solid pub food selection.

As mentioned above, my family (2 kids, 2 grandparents) traveled to Yard House seeking a casual, fun environment (good for kids), but also with quality food.  Upon entering every member of the staff was extremely friendly with our kids (particularly my 2 year old son), and went out of their way to check on us and even gave my son a tour of the kitchen area.

During ordering, my wife ordered the wrong item (her fault, not the server's), and when it arrived she stated that she had mistaken her order.   The General Manager came immediately over and offered to change the item (which my wife declined since it was her fault), he then offered her to bring the item she actually wanted for free take out.   In addition, he offered us a free dessert.  When we ordered a dessert, he actually ended up sending over an order of ALL their desserts options so we could try everything (again for free).   In addition, my son had originally ordered the mac and cheese, but decided when it arrived he would rather have a hot dog.  The server heard him and brought out a kid's order of hot dog (again for free) along with the mac and cheese.

I feel that so often, we only hear about bad customer service experiences on Yelp, that I felt that I had to write an excellent customer service experience.  Kudos to the Yard House at Fenway and their terrific staff.

great spot in fenway! there is an excellent beer selection, and everything is modestly priced. we went for a few bruins games, and while there was a bit of a line during the playoffs, i really appreciated that once we got in, there was no bad seat in the bar. tons of tvs, and all were large and high enough to be very visible.

there is also a back deck, which is nice for the summer nights. i don't think i'll be able to tackle the whole beer menu, but i look forward to trying. there is also a decent food menu too, and my friends enjoyed their sandwich and fries.

I like what they've done with the place.  Lots of beer to choose from. I like the blend of Belgium Shandy and pear-flavored beer.

The servers were good, but I could barely hear them over the loud music.  It was the middle of the day!  I think they should turn down the tunes a bit.

The food is OK.  I like the bacon butter that comes with the sweet potato fries.  Also, my swordfish taco had enough flavor that I might re-ordered it.  I wasn't really impressed with the nachos.  I've had a lot better.

Overall, it's a good place to watch a game.  I think the Cask has better food though.

I want to add: I miss the good ole' days when Boston Billiards served $1 beer and dogs before Sox games.   That happened to be 2004 when they won the WS.  It doesn't get much better!  Maybe the Sox will win again if they offer the same thing...right?

Been here twice and I like it...but I guess so does everyone else.  Therefore it's pretty packed and service can be a bit slow.  But the food is good and the beer selection is amazing.  This is def my fave place to come to before or after a game.

If only yelp would let me give 0 stars for the way I was rudely treated by the general manager. The story of rudeness is so strange I can barely figure it out. Friends And i got some food after a sox game, we sat at a table, at the food, paid with cards, and left. We walked about 2 blocks down and I realized i left my card on the table, so we walked back, it was 1245am(sign on the door says open til 1am) at this point, we pulled on the door, its locked, which i understand, its after last call. we knock, a boy comes to the door to say they are close, i try to gesture through the window that i forgot my card, but he shrugs and walked away. So i called, and said Hi im at the door, i just left my card on the table, he begrudgingly asked my name and told me that he cant let me back inside because its a violation of after closing policy and he would be fired if he let me in and he was getting his manager. fine. i dont want to come in, slide my card under the door! Then 10-15minutes pass, other employees/patrons were exiting this "forbidden" door, so i went back in bc i assumed there was a problem, and the general manager was at the desk socializing in street clothes, I said Hi, i just left my card here, she said i know its right here, held it up in her hand and said, but i cant give it to you because you coming back in here is a violation of code blah blah blah, and made me AGAIN go back outside and wait like a disobedient dog for MY credit card that i made the mistake of using at this place. I will never be back, and if the general manager thinks treating customers this way is OK, then im sure that trickles down.

This wasn't my first trip to Yard House but one worth yelping. Went there on a Friday night w a group of friends, went in around 11pm and the place wasn't packed. We opted for a booth because we had been standing all night and wanted to all have a seat and maybe consider getting some apps.
Strong drinks were a plus, big beers, big booths....
What really was bad? The looooong time it took to get the food, the server didn't even sort of apologize at all in anyway. The food runner and  the manager were the ones to come and apologize for the delay in service. The manager told the waitress to bring a complimentary dessert, but she didn't....Even after the manager asked what we wanted - we really didn't want any so we weren't too disappointed when one never came. After presenting the check, and taking our cards and cash she came over to say that the manager REALLY wanted her to take something off the bill so she did. Huh...thanks?tt

Anyway, the manager was awesome for doing that. We could have just been a group of drunk kids (we weren't but really at midnight on Friday w a group of 6+ people we could have been any number of things). He just came over and was very nice and accommodating. Thank goodness for him, he really is what will bring me back again.

I've been to Yard House twice in the past couple months and have had an overall good experience.

    Pros:
    1. Amazing beer selection obviously
    2. Decent veg options - not just salads and veggie burgers like many similar places
    3. Extensive food menu

    Cons:
    1. Service has been pretty slow both times I was there, and neither of these times was the restaurant particularly busy
    2. When I got the Grilled Korean Beef Short Rib tacos, the meat was slightly too charred. Not enough to ruin the meal or to warrant sending it back, but noticeable nonetheless.

This is the kind of place that's awesome for late night drinks and snacks after a Sox game or to hang out and watch a game on TV. The back patio is beautiful, especially on a nice night.

Went there last night and had an amazing time!

I ordered the BBQ Pork Tacos which was a surprise for me because I usually don't eat pork. Nonetheless, it was very good. The portions were just right and I didn't get the "full tummy" feeling after finishing my meal. The menus are huge so you'll need about 15-20 minutes to decide what you want to eat.

Our server Scott was really nice and he made the meal enjoyable. The atmosphere was surprisingly great, especially there's a heated terrace out back.

For beer lovers, you're going to love this place. They have over 130 beers on tap! I'm not much of a beer drinker but I did enjoy two Newcastle Beers. I recommend this place for a great night on the town, especially if you're going to hang out with a large group of friends.

When this place first opened, it was off the charts. The steady decline in food, service, and atmosphere leads me to believe that this venue will have boarded up doors sooner rather than later.

I sat at the bar with my boyfriend to catch a hockey game. We sat by the server station outside, which offers a really nice patio and a huge TV. Our bartender was average, but every time waitresses would come over, it turned into an "industry" discussion about how much they all wanted to go home, and how they didn't want to work anymore. Not that exciting to hear when you're trying to enjoy a beer and a game.

The dish reception kept coming in and out, so we ended up leaving sooner than we would have because we could hardly see the game. The grilled artichoke appetizer was good, not great. Overall, I would tell people to come for a quick beer before a Red Sox game, but not for a relaxing evening out. Not worth it.

We went to Yardhouse after our disastrous experience at ACBF. It might be different when it's crowded, but it was wonderful. Food was tasty, especially for a chain. Great beer selection. Fantastic, super nice bartenders. I don't really ask too much out of a bar, other than that. Definitely beats my experience at Cask n' Flagon, so I'll probably be coming back if I'm close to Fenway again.

Yelp cliche: I want to love this place

    1) This is steps from my current apartment.  I can almost see my building from the back porch.
    2) There are half-yards of beer.  My two favorite things in life are beer and things in excess.  Oh, top three includes friends.  I can have all these things here.
    3) One. Hundred. Eighty. Beers. On. Tap.
    4) Large outdoor area
    5) Large outdoor area has these weird fire things. I love fire.

But the beers never blow me away, I have gone on two weird dates here, and often feel pretty "meh" about it.  I do still love the fire though.  So while I will never say no to Yard House (unless it is for a third weird date), I usually won't suggest it.  It defines "A-OK" to me.

P.S. Happy birthday Calli!  Sorry we sang with so little enthusiasm.

So, it's a Friday evening in the somewhat decent city of Boston. You have a large group of people that consists of at least few decent guys, and at least few really cool ladies that are fun to talk with. The temperature is at least 15 degrees Celsius, and you are also looking for a decent spacious and outdoor bar with extremely mediocre scenery. You have plenty of extra cash. Where should you go? This place is not a bad choice. I went here to meet up with a few decent guys and a few really cool ladies that I know and recently met.

This place is located near a really old and really big baseball field. An ideal time to come here is when the local baseball team is not playing on that day. If that happens, this place may get really crowded with people who are somewhat "hysterical" about the local baseball team.

Beer selection is excellent, I really like that they have the option to order your drinks in the "Shorty" (small), "Goblet" (medium), "Pint" (standard "English" size), and a "Half Yard" (extremely large) size. That way, if you order the "Shorty" size, you can limit your "caloric intake" of beer. If you order the "Half Yard", I think you might experience a "dramatic change". I had that Wachusett Blueberry Beer, and I thought it was pretty refreshing, and the blueberries gave it some juiciness.

As for food, the Sweet Potato Fries here are not great, but they are not terrible as well. I thought they had a weird flavor. The hamburgers they have here are pretty good. The Avocado and Swiss Burger cooked medium was pretty tasty with some ketchup, combined with the freshness of the lettuce, the texture of the avocado, and the juiciness of the meat, and it was a tasty hamburger. I would say that it is worth it to spend an extra $1 for the Truffle Fries with the hamburger. They are very thin, with a good flavor and crispiness that made it a great side dish.

The bathroom was really clean. This place probably has the cleanest bathroom inside a bar and I felt like I was in a hotel or an upscale restaurant rather than a bar. This place is really spacious, and it's a good choice if you have two good buddies and nine great companions. Service on a Friday evening is not great, but it's either because there's too many people, or they don't have many people working at the bar and kitchen in proportion with the amount of people wanting beer and food. The outdoor bar is a pretty good place to hang out, but the scenery is dismal, unless the construction area nearby becomes a really cool place.

Overall, if you are looking for one of the most spacious bars with the cleanest bathrooms in the somewhat decent city of Boston, this is probably a great choice. Again, the right time to come here is when the temperature is at least 15 degrees Celsius, the local baseball team is not playing on that day, you have at least $20 in your pocket, and you are in a group of people that has at least a few decent guys and a few really cool ladies. Although this place is a "chain" if the service improves and the construction area turns into something really cool, this place may be one of the best bars in this city.

Fun atmosphere, good service, and good drinks.

The food was a little disappointing. Like usual, my friends and I came during happy hour and ordered almost everything on the appetizer menu. Most of the dishes were salty. The Thai chicken pizza, the calamari, the chicken lettuce wrap, the buffalo wings, and even the seared ahi sashimi - they were all salty. The crab cakes were pretty good. I've been to the location in Legacy Place and I think the food there is better.

Overall Yard House always makes a fun night, especially with those tall half yards. Next time, I will try some of the main dishes.

I think I found my new pre-Red Sox game feeding and drinking place!!! This place is on the outskirts of Fenway Park so you have a good shot at getting a table without waiting if you get there around 4:30/5 on a game night.

This place is awesome, they have a million, maybe more beers on tap and are very reasonably priced. You have your choice between a classic pint or if you are feeling a bit daring or just want to get a good buzz on before they game you can also get a 1/2 yard ($10 for Bud Light).

The food is great. They have burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and dinners. I got a burger with truffle fries and both were fantastic. Their happy hour specials are also great. They range from cheap pizzas to 1/2 priced apps.

I will definitely be back next time I am Boston way. Just a word of warning drink service when at a table was a bit slow when the crowd picked up for the Red Sox game so plan accordingly. Overall a great experience! One of the better places around Fenway!!

This place is awesome if you're looking for great beer and food before catching a game at Fenway! We were seated immediately, all 8 of us, and then given the bible of beer and booze- which is what we were really looking for. They had these great "happy hour" food specials, ($5.75 for a full pizza!) and the drinks were reasonably priced. You could also choose to get your beer (craft, cheap, or otherwise) in a pint glass or a half yard glass. Aside from the substantial number of beers on tap, and hard liquors to choose from, they also had an extensive menu which ranged from your typical bar foods to things like thai chicken wraps ( which were also delicious- and on the half price menu!).

Outdoor seating was also an option, and seemed really nice, if it weren't a game day and claustrophibically crowded.

Overall, I'm definitely coming here from now on, whether it's to pregame before a game-game, or just to hang out at a cool spot with friends.

I've already written a review for the Yard House in Dedham, but this is a bit of an update/different perspective on the Fenway location.

On Saturday a large group of us decided to head to the Yard House for a night of drinking after dinner. We actually went after a Red Sox game let out. I think it probably ended around 5/6, and we were there at 9. It wasn't super packed but it sure was busy! We had a group of maybe 20 people, and there was a good amount of space for us to stand without blocking waitresses (I hope!). And we never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a bartender to take our order.

One thing I really appreciated about the space is that even though it is a restaurant  it has a great bar vibe, with tons of beverages to chose from, without the sticky floors, loud patrons, and unbearably loud music that makes it impossible to talk. Plus, there are tvs to entertain those Boston Sports loving people! Though, that night they were showing some Softball games. Pretty intense!

At around 12:30, when the birthday boy's words were starting to slur and his eyes were hazy, I was able to buy some french fries for about $3. The lines got crosses somewhere because a bartender AND waiter both brought us fries. When I told them we were all set, they gave it to us on the house. Thank you!

Oh I forgot to tell you what I drank. I had Lindemans' Framboise, this incredible "beer' (it's a Lambic, actually) which is....fermented raspberry juice, essentially? It's incredible. It's like alcoholic juice. It's very sweet/sour, but that's my cup of tea. My friend tried it and ended up ordering her own lambic, which was Timmermans' Strawberry. This was less juice-like than mine, more in the beer category, but just as delicious. Later, I had a Shirley Temple with a fresh cherry (I was designated driver. Just being responsible)!

Great service, great atmosphere, and an incredible selection of drinks. I can't wait to go back!

I came here for my 21st birthday celebration with a big group on a Red Sox game night. I tried to call and make a reservation but they don't take them on game nights. I still had no problem getting my group of 15 in in time to watch the sox and bruins play. My waitress was great and recommended Wachusett blueberry which came with real blueberries and was delicious! I also had the BBQ chicken salad which was very filling and satisfying. Then they gave me a free desert for my birthday! I had a great time there and I will definitely be back.

Since their redemption, I was confident to go to another Yard House establishment and they rallied like the Red Sox at the bottom of the 9th.

This establishment is larger than their restaurant in Dedham.  And they have a beautiful and functional outdoor/patio area that I superbly loved.  Yes, you are going to be aggravated the hour before a Sox game trying to find space to drink and/or get a table but deal with it, you're at a high trafficked area that is going to get the crowds an hour before a game starts.  What do you expect?

We had a great server who was always refilling our glasses on time and always with a smile.  We had a couple of apps that came out at a decent time despite the insane crowds.

I would definitely come here again for pre-game or post celebrations of a Sox win.

Love the dim lit, spacious atmosphere. Spiffy and clean. Same goes for the bathrooms.

Came here with my girlfriend and we were surprised to be seated at a booth seat. The booth seats can seat atleast 6 people. "It's so spacious you can lay down here." "Yahhh if you get drunk."

Charlie, our waiter, was friendly, patient, and attentive. For drinks, I had the Wachusett Blueberry beer while my gal had their skinny pomegranate mojito. I couldn't taste any hint of blueberry out of the beer but it was definitely lighter and tastier than the ones out of cans. It was cute that it came with blueberries...floating and sinking within the beer like those lava lamp globs. The mojito was refreshing, came out more like a soda rather than alcohol. Came out very pretty with the mint decoration.

Neither of us were really hungry so we stuck with appetizers. She got a salad with fresh avacado chunks and crunchy greens. I got the Korean pork belly street tacos. For the tacos, I'd give it a 3. Nothing amazing, the pork belly was slightly charred and over grilled and @ $5 a taco, a little too pricey for something so small.

Will definitely come here again, look forward in sitting at the patio on a hot summer night with good company!

I've eaten here twice so far, and each time it was serviceable but not outstanding in any way.  I guess the draw here is the enormous selection of beers on tap.  Not my thing, so the food is my only criteria for judging this place.  Venue wise, it's quite OK.  It's cavernous in size, clean, modern and comfortable. The wait staff is hugely friendly and attentive.  There are television sets everywhere, spouting sports.  It's blocks from Fenway, after all, so it's all about the sports. And the beer.  Not so much about the food,  I know I know, so I won't be too hard a critic.

I tried the clam chowder and it was basically Elmer's Glue with clams.  The turkey club sandwich was simple and fresh but not outstanding in any sense.  I tried a roast beef sandwich the prior time I visited here, and it was quite nice, served with Au Jus.

Good spot for a quick bite if you're in the area but don't go out of your way for it.

What an outstanding establishment. So good, in fact, that I was shocked to learn it wasn't a local place. We went for drinks and it was PACKED. Though it's still a tad chilly we situated ourselves outside on the back patio. I wasn't in the mood for beer but the guys enjoyed their tall draughts of the golden nectar. Our waitress was the nicest person I've ever met. We had a whole discussion about her classes and schooling and economics. She was simply a delight. The french fries here are also a delight. We needed the calories badly after consuming our weight in alcohol and water. This wasn't the gin talking, these fries were outstanding. Loved the ambience, people, staff, food, and drinks. Definitely a must-visit!

I finally made my first trip to Yard House on Marathon Monday and was not expecting it to be that good! Obviously it was going to be packed, but we only had to wait in line a few minutes before getting in.

The beer selection is HUGE. Almost any beer can be had in a half-yard, except for the stronger ABV beers (it looked like anything below 7.5% could be served in a half-yard.) The bartenders are quick to get your order, even if you want two beers on the opposite end of the giant tap-area. We eventually decided that our group of 10 wanted to try and sit down for lunch. Someone in our party put our name down, grabbed a buzzer, and was told 10 minutes. We were pretty surprised about that considering how packed it was, but they must have had a few larger tables open.

We ended up waiting over an hour to get seated, so minor inconvenience there. The food was pretty legit. I ordered the seared ahi tuna sandwhich, and I don't know if it was because I was slightly intoxicated, but that sandwich didn't last more than a few minutes on my plate.

I've been invited to Yard House before but now am kicking myself for waiting this long to actually go. It's a fun bar with very reasonable prices. When I first heard "bar that serves yards of beer," I kind of figured it would be grimey. This is a very nice looking bar with tons of seats, beer, and fun.

Are you a beer lover?) Than the entrance door to this place will look like a door to paradise for you after the first visit. Selection of beer is unbelievable. Everything is listed from light to heavy dark. Perfect.

Food is delicious, no matter if you search for a heavy duty plate or for a small plate with a single appetizer just to chill.

If you've been to this place, you know what I'm talking about, if not - don't be herding sheep behind, go and get yourself a nice pint of Konig Ludwig...

The beer list at this place is crazy! Ask to try some - the limit is 3 per person.
The bartenders were extremely nice and patient. The food was really good - we ordered a whole bunch of stuff so its hard to remember between all four of us.
    Overall highly recommend it!

So many beer choices and so little time!!! They say over 150 beers on tap...Challenge accepted!! Great variety with everything from the standards like Bud Light to the microbrews that you've never heard of.  They will also do  six-pack of samples so you can try more beer!

The food here is great as well...as long as you don't look at the nutrition facts.  Over 1800 calories in a bowl of mac and cheese! Yikes.  But honestly, if you're here you're probably getting your calories anyway with all the beer you will drink!

    Loved it!

First, the beer list is solid but in an unpretentious way.  They seem to do more by way of american craft beer than belgian style (which seemed fitting for the vibe and menu).  Even better than the beer quantity was the volume.  They do 'shorty' pours, which is awesome for (my favorite new past time) - beer grazing!

Second, I have never seen so many vegetarian options on a non-veg menu before.  Shocking!  We had one vegetarian and two vegans in our party, each of whom was nearly in tears.  Seriously.  Veggie buffalo wings, BBQ chicken salads topped with onion rings, chicken and avocado sandwiches.  Damn!

Also, the staff really impressed.  Our waitress was BEYOND accommodating for the vegans - checking with the kitchen and making sub suggestions.  And, even the guy who 'showed us to our table' somehow made an impression - giving us some beer suggestions for our next round.

We will definitely be back - maybe even tonight!

I went back and forth between 3 or 4 stars and I finally decided on 4 stars because we had really good service here, and it is a nice place overall.

I went here with a large group from work recently and everything went smoothly.  One of my colleagues called in advance to make a lunch reservation and when we arrived, we were seated right away.

I ordered the Baja Fish Street Taco Plate.  I would not call the food amazing, but it was certainly very good.  I think I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.  The tacos were pretty small and I was hoping for more fish (the tacos had what appeared to be large fish sticks in them).  The flavoring in the guac and additional sauces mixed in there was very good.  The beans were good, but did not have much exciting flavor.  The rice was a little spicy and a little sweet; it was an interesting flavor combination.

Overall, I found the prices to be a little high in general, but I guess they are reasonable for the over-priced Fenway Park area!

Our server was attentive, patient, and accommodating. In the end, we had a great experience and I would certainly return.

Chains are held against a different set of criteria for a review. When placed up against my typical gold standard of a beer pub with righteous food (see: Lower Depths), the Yard House would pull a 3 star rating. Primarily because the appeal is scientifically proven - there are sociological and behavioral outcomes baked in to each winning component. That said, the Yard House works the formula well.

Dozens and dozens and dozens of draft beers, with five (digital) chalkboard brews featured every day. Yes, Bud Light has a spot - it's Fenway fercrissakes. But for every fizzy piss water, there's a decent to stellar regional draught (sup Troeg's HopBack Amber) and as far as the all-over-the-map food menu is concerned, what I've had has been step-up fare.

At the most recent juncture, the Blackened Tuna Burger quelled my need for a patty cake in the kisser with a 5oz seared juicy heap of ahi and spices on a potato bun. The side salad is mesclun with carrot shreds and tomato wedges, and the citrus soy vinaigrette is outright horrific (like a mouthful of lemonade sea water), but asking for a different dressing makes this substantial and otherwise satisfying meal a deal at $10 and change.

Go ahead and cash in the BroCard if you must, but they also conveniently label all the meals under 600 calories. Said burger was one of them.

The ultimate bump from middle running is the service which, when approached during non-Sox madness, is engaged and on point. Especially if you ride the hidden back bar with 10 or more friends, at which point you're king of the castle - all three TVs playing your picks, a dedicated server for all your ale quaffing needs and a winter-proof patio to laugh at bundled passers-by who aren't pounding yardies with Sully and the boys.

My bf told me about this place, and when I looked up the reviews on Yelp, I was a little nervous about trying it. I ended up going because I was starving and wanted a bite to eat after a movie date. 5 stars alone for the awesome waitress we had (I wish I could remember her name). She went above and beyond to make sure our meals came out in a timely manner and as we wanted them. My bf's truffle fries came out a little late (which was fine because we were chowing down on the rest of our meals), but when we inquired about them, they were rushed out and we were told that for the inconvenience, they were on the house. Our waitress tried to compensate for the late fries in other ways, too, with a free dessert and I truly felt grateful because she really didn't have to do anything at all.

I am one who believes the service during a first visit to a restaurant can make all of the difference between a second visit and getting written off completely, and the service I received deserves a second visit. Can't wait to come here again!

Take this review with a grain of salt, because Fenway area bars/restaurants aren't really my scene.
Pros: BIG beer selection.  Lots and lots of beers on tap.  Food is pretty good and the portions are huge.  Even the appetizers could just be entrees.  (And I was a fan of the thin, crispy french fries.)  Oh, and I got carded TWICE even though I'm 29...I'll take that compliment!  This restaurant is also on the nicer side in Fenway (meaning, probably two solid steps up from Cask & Flagon)...but it's generic enough that I wouldn't commute all the way from Cambridge unless I was seeing a show at House of Blues (which I was).

Cons: The bartenders weren't super attentive...and we were sitting RIGHT at the bar (a big group of us), so it's not like we were fighting crowds for service.  However, when we did get the bartender's attention, he was good at answering questions about the beers.

All in all, a non-offensive restaurant in the Fenway area.  Honestly, I liked it way better than other bars over there and it will probably be my future go-to if I'm there again for a game or show.

PS - girls, the bathrooms are big, clean, but FREEZING COLD.  Really weird.

Have you ever met someone and you're like 'wow, this guy and I should be best friends... but something's just not clicking'? Well I have (his name was Tim--we're Facebook friends at least!) and if you convert humans into restaurants, that's kind of where I am with the Yardhouse.

I give them four stars for the beer because they're a giant beer bar whose selection is pretty decent and they keep their taps clean which giant beer bars don't always do.

And then the menu looks really cool and includes Korean BBQ tacos and other yummy East-West notions that should be right up my alley, but I haven't fallen in love with anything I've ordered yet so I feel like the breadth and ambitiousness of the menu has made them get out ahead of their skis just a bit. Oh and they only have yellow mustard, yet they have a pastrami sandwich on the menu. Someone should be fired for that decision.

Anyhow, I would and probably will go back, but it's like my situation with Tim in that we only hang out through a friend in common (Erik)... so like the next time I'm down around Fenway with someone who wants to go get a half a yard of beer we'll probably go there together.

So long story short, it's a good place for a drink.

I love you, Yard House! I love you a lot more in the summer when I can sit on your patio and bask in the sun while eating your delicious guacamole. Yep, they have GREAT guac. Yum yum yum. It is like $5 and delicious, why not? And since you have to order food to sit outside, you really have no excuse not to order their guac. you heard it first right here!

Also, they have framboise - my favorite lambic. It is a party in my mouth. They also mix it with a double chocolate stout that is great! And they do it with a lighter beer (hefeweizen? I forget) and it is also great. So, I love to come here to drink a lambic and have some guac.

Great patio bar and it has heaters for the evening. The place is big with a big bar and a lot of tvs around the bar. It is a young crowed -- college, young professionals, residents, etc.

Also, great place to go before or after a Sox game!
