Yellowfin

This place is amazing... One of our favorite spots on LBI.

As good as it gets when it comes down to awesome, well prepared food in a casual setting with BYOB.  For once, Zagat got it right with a 27/30 rating.  Well worth the drive from Eatontown, NJ for a fine dining experience after a day at the beach.

Superior food quality, presentation and the overall dining experience make this a 4.5. They are a island of excellence in a vast sea or mediocrity.  

I've had their deep fried tomato and sushi pizza on every occasion and they were delightful each time.These are must appetizers. The tomatoes are best when in season but still amazing in flavor and texture regardless.

I've had their soups which are prepared with the subtly as opposed to being drowned in creams and salt to make up for the lack of core flavor. Their signature salad dressings are sublime.

I've had the scallop entree, which is my personal favorite, but I've had the braised short ribs and Paella too. Yum. Yum and Yum.

BYOB is just an added bonus. I love to choose my own wine to pair with their food.

So the food is finessed. You can't make it this good at home without trashing your kitchen. This place is a treat.

I've never Yelped a 5 but 4 is just not enough for these guys by Yelp standards.

*Reality: no restaurant should get higher than 4.5. It is impossible to get flawless food quality every time.

Service and setting are only a factor when they significantly detract from the dining experience.
