Kt's Cafe

This is a great old Texas old city cafe. Family run mom dad grandma it's nice to see more than Denny's grand slam processed and stamped food.

Service was friendly and quick food order was great and they have shredded hash browns.

Alvord, TX...not exactly Dallas.  If you're in this area, most likely you're working on a well pad or a farm in the area.  There's really not much else out here.  Luckily, there's a little gem in Alvord, TX called KT's.

KT's dishes out delicious, home-cooked food at a great price.  In my two weeks working in the area, I went to KT's for lunch about 5 times.  Each time the food was solid, the service was quick enough, and the owner visited our table.  This place is run with heart, and the food reflects that.

If you're trying to eat healthier (which can be very difficult in these parts), go for the grilled chicken salad or the grilled chicken platter with grilled veggies.  Their grilled chicken is amazing!  The grilled veggies will change your life!

My coworkers tried the chicken fried steak, hamburger steak, and chicken strips, which were all very good, as well.

So, if you're looking for something delicious in the Alvord area, you can't beat this place.  You can tell by the number of dusty pick-ups and SUVs in the lot that this place is well-known around town.
