Great food and atmosphere. Sat at the bar and Kindle was a wonderful server, drink maker and storyteller. Â Â Definitely going back next week

This is the one restraunt I eat at that the second I leave I'm thinking of when I will come back. The food is always spot on.

I have eaten here in the past and it has been good with reasonable prices. However my wife and I went there tonight without reservations and were told that we were 2nd on the list. We went to the bar to wait and watched at least 4 groups of 2 or 4 get seated without reservations. After 45 minutes we decided to leave and were told that they were waiting on 1 particular table that hadn't paid yet. I guess they only have 1 table for customers with a party for 2 with no reservations. By the way, there was no one waited to be seated when we walked out. Â Bottom line...they may have good food, but I can't reward poor service. Spend your money elsewhere.

Taking one star away from my previous review. Â Had dinner here last evening with a 7PM reservation. Â Service and parts of the meal were less than steller this time. Â I only saw two employees in the entire restaurant, but there must have been another in the kitchen as well. Â Our server was very friendly and competent, but he was apparently charged with double duty of answering the phone as well as waiting tables. Â He carried a handheld cordless phone in his pocket. Â Whenever it rang, he took it out and answered for the restaurant. Â He did this twice while delivering food or taking orders. Â Such an interruption at the table is entirely unacceptable and discourteous. Â

I had a steak and grilled shrimp combo. Â The steak was fine. Â The one skewer of grilled shrimp had been incinerated on the grill. Â They were extremely overcooked, hard, rubbery, and no taste. Â The shrimp tails were charred black. Â For a $50 dinner for two, they can do a little better than this.

My husbands walleye pike was excellent. my chicken Marsala wasn't like any chicken Marsala I had ever had. There was something sweet added like apples...I couldn't tell what it was. But i didn't like it. Chicken was over cooked. The salad was good but a bit too much dressing. The bread is homemade and my bread-loving husband loved it. Grasshopper Pie was okay but didn't taste homemade. Overall probably one of the best restaurants in an area lacking in good restaurants.We drove past several times after eating there and noticed the parking lot always full...especially for the Sunday brunch.
