Food is horrible and overpriced. Menu is small. The happy hour is the only good thing about this place. Skip the food unless you have the nachos, expensive but the best bang for the buck. Â Wings suck, salads suck, sandwich sucks. Trust me, go across the street and pay a little more and enjoy your diner.
Review Source:Great for apres ski. I walked here from the gondola in my full gear ski boots and all and no one batted an eye when I started tugging off my ski boots-freeing my feet from their prisons. Good selection of beer local and otherwise. You can also get a huge schooner size beer which is awesome at the end of a long tiring day.
For a pub they have surprisingly healthy options. i had the veggie wrap with couscous salad and it definitely hit the spot. Bonus points for homemade hummus. Bf had a west coast club-turkey, bacon and avocado and i guess it was good because I didn't get to try any!
We had lunch here the service was very good and friendly. Â The waiter provided me with a beer sample, which was cool when I was undecided. I went with the Hogarden white beer, very good. Â The turkey bacon club was awesome and the beer/cheese appetizer was good also. Â My kids liked their chicken tenders. Plenty of TV's and looks like a nice outdoor patio.
Review Source:This place is close to the mouintain and serves beer, so naturally it accrues volumes of post ski/snowboarders. Â I give my one star rating based on food, not beer (of which they had a decent selection). Â The salads are sub par. Â The veggie wrap left much to be desired. Â The turkey sub was good. Â Sides included potato chips, cous cous, or fruit cups.
Review Source:This is a pretty good lunch/apres spot. They have TONs of TVs so its especially nice during football season if you want to take a break and catch a game.
The menu consists of typical pub-food. I have had quite a few things off it and they are all quite tasty. The nachos are probably the biggest I have ever seen..it will fill up FIVE hungry skiers!!
The prices are a bit unfavorable though. Food and drink are both pretty expensive. This is par for the course at the ski resorts though (unless its happy hour). The service is pretty good, especially at the bar. I really like to sit outside but thats where the service is slowest. If you are looking for something good but a bit cheaper hit up the new moon cafe around the corner...In my opinion its the hidden gem of Keystone.
"Perfect after ski hangout!"
9280 has that great welcoming vibe of people laughing and enjoying themselves at the bar and at tables, wearing their ski/snowboard clothes from coming off the slopes. They seem to leave their door open a lot with that "come on in" feel. It's fun, great drinks, specials, and food after a long day of skiing or boarding.
Mountain Huckleberry mojitos?! Yeah that's right mountain Huckleberries. Definitely not something I find in Texas. Very refreshing. It's like Christmas in a glass. Bloody Mary with bacon and pepper vodka! Safe to say they have a little of everything.
Oh did I mention the nachos? Holy crap how could I forgot. After burning a thousand calories skiing down the mountain you might as well eat a mountain of nachos. You'll never finish it (even if you think you can). Biggest plate of nachos with quacamole on top.
Needless to say check this place out if you just want to hang out and have some fun within the resort.
Like finding a purple squirrel in Wash Park, great service is something that makes a lasting impression when visiting a bar or restaurant. Â The employees at 9280 are incredibly courteous and they go out of their way to provide an enjoyable experience. Â I've spent a lot of days riding Keystone but none of my previous visits involved a stop at 9280. Â This is a tradition that is about to change. Â The Executive Chef David Scott is responsible for my first encounter with this bar and it was a stop that was enjoyable to say the least. Â
You see, Keystone used to have a policy in place that on your birthday you'd receive a free beer and a cookie. Â In recent times that has changed but while speaking with one of the guest services reps who would normally make good on this deal; David overheard my conversation of trying to set a buddy up with the Keystone Birthday special and took us over to his restaurant to make good on the deal. Â
The food, service, and staff are all a step above what you might expect to find at a ski resort. Â 9280 is well worth a visit after a hard day of riding.
Nacho Mountain and Foosball table knock it out of the park. At the far left side of the base of Keystone Base, I had no idea ski resorts were so large. There was a whole ski in/out village on the other side of the resort further down the road. This place is alot of fun. One notch more refined than a frat bar, I think it hit the demographic mark for us 30 year old-old timers sore from the slopes.
Review Source:A cute place with a full bar, some beers on tap and bar food. The place is clean and menu seems to be well organized. Other than that, if you don't mind paying nearly $8 for a beer and you think a dollar off during happy hour from 3 to 6 is a good deal than you should come here.
I just think they'd have a slightly more competitive edge on their pricing since the atmosphere seemed to more resembled a chain restaurant/bar and they weren't even on the slope. Other than that the place was clean. It just seemed as though they were missing something. This place would not not be my first choice to hang out.
That's just my honest opinion.
