The Acorn Restaurant at Red Oak Inn

Excellent service, great southern cooking.  We went as a party of five, and had a variety of foods.  The fried Okra is the best I've every had.  Fried to perfection, and served while hot.  Most places around here have it sitting around so long that it just loses it great taste.  The green beans were great.  THe ribeye was ok at best.  I ordered medium rare, and received a medium well.  The Pecan Pie is phenominal.  The second best pecan pie in the state, second only to my wife's pecan pie.

Neat place and really nice folks run the place.  I suggest breakfast.

Good food, good service, good price ... who can argue with that? This local restaurant, part of the Red Oak Inn is a great place for good, simple food and friendly service!
