This little rural farming community Mexican restaurant is very good. Â The chili rellenos are phenomenal and I've never had a bad meal here ever. Â The salsa is to die for and the margaritas are excellent. Â My husband says the burritos are fabulous and I'm so glad we have a great restaurant in Franktown that serves Mexican food.
Review Source:I noticed that this restaurant had a new owner when headed to the Franktown post office. New meaning I hadn't been in this direction for a while. Went home and checked the Yelp reviews. Hm. Always looking for a decent Mexican restaurant, not to mention having darn few dining choices in Parker. Well, folks, you are right. Our meal was very good. I enjoyed the Margarita. I did not enjoy the salsa. I had to take a star off for that. Perhaps a bad batch tonight? It was pretty much red water. Left the chip wet was about all. No discernible flavor. Considering how most all the reviews loved it, I have to think is is not the norm. The tacos were very good. A tad less salt, perhaps. The mole sauce on the tamale I ordered was wonderful. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas. Very good. We were too full to try a dessert. I would like to add a star if the salsa is way better next time. Yes, we will be back. W are grateful to have a decent restaraunt only a few minutes away.
Review Source:We read the nice reviews here and decided to check this place out. Â My wife and I dine out often and we usually have Mexican about once/week (Chilis, On The Border, or LaCasa Fiesta in Monument, CO).
The good: They have one Margarita on the menu, their house Marg - and we both thought it was perhaps the best Marg of the 4 places mentioned. Â The salsa was good. Â Our server was very nice and she was friendy and joked with us.
The okay: The chips were okay, not bad in any way, not spectacular either (served at room temp). Â My wife had a bowl of their Green Chili - which she said was okay. Â I tried a few spoons, thought it was just okay too. Â I had the ground beef taco plate - it was just okay, nothing special (would have preferred more cheese).
Could stand improvement: The Guacamole was bland/tasteless, and the re-fried beans on my taco plate were runny (which might be okay for some).
Summary: Not a bad place, worth a stop if you're in the area, but not worth driving to from Parker or Monument in our opinions (FWIW).
I still LOVE THIS PLACE!! I never tire of the food and I eat there almost every day. I do not buy the one star review for one minute, that must be a review by a competitor or someone who is not happy that Adriana's is doing as well as they are.. They've been open just a little over a year and they are busy all the time. The good thing about that...you know the food is ALWAYS fresh!! Everything on the menu is made from scratch. The Guac is unbelievable. It's pretty easy to get seated...but they are very busy, because they are sooooooo great!!!!!!!! A must drive from anywhere, since they have the best Mexican food that I have ever had. I have traveled to almost all 50 states and had Mexican food in all of them. This little gem in Franktown, CO is hands down...THE BEST.
Review Source:Can't really say much about the food, since they decided to seat another identically sized party before us. All the talk about the friendly, family business, etc., makes me wonder. I felt completely unwanted there. It's close to where I live, so maybe I'll give another chance. Probably not though.
Review Source:Excellent Mexican food!
The previous Mexican restaurant located here, Medinas, served delicious Mexican food.
I'm happy to say that Adriana's is an excellent follow-up!
I ordered a smothered bean burrito with cheese and I was very pleased! The salsa is also very good, quite spicy too.
I'll be back multiple times! Glad I live close to the location.
This place is a MUST. It's a small family owned local business and everyone is so friendly and nice!
The food is awesome- I got the chile relleno, cheese enchilada, and bean tostada- all three of those were outstanding!
Margaritas are super yummy and the salsa is so fresh and tasty!
You've got to come and try it out- you will NOT be disappointed!
This is what Yelp is for. Finding restaurants that are owned by the people who work them and letting the community know to come and support their neighbors. Adriana's is wonderful. I get a warm feeling every time I go in, no it is not from indigestion, and I hope to become a regular.
I have been three times and been happy each time. Every visit I have had something different and have yet to be disappointed. The last time I stopped by I had a smothered bean burrito with refried beans and rice sides and a beef taco. I am not the kind of person who goes around recommending the vegetarian option but seriously the bean burrito was great. Â I am from California, land of large and delicious burritos, and have been totally bummed out by the chicken or beef burritos I have been getting in Colorado. All they have in them is the meat, where is the beans, where is the sour cream, how about some rice for peats sake! I know it is a cultural thing but sheesh boring. Anyway I do digress; the bean burrito was a healthy portion covered in green chili and was the perfect temperature to warm you up on a cold day. Some real Colorado comfort food if I have ever had any. The refried beans were creamy and piping hot and were complemented by the oddly colored yet very tasty rice well.
Word from the wise, yes sometimes I am wise, grab a paper menu on your way out and call ahead for your favorites. They will be ready and waiting when you pop in to pick up.
A for effort. Â We had an 8 top with a group of special orderers. Â You know the kind - pulled pork but would you please push it, cheeseburger hold the cheese. Â The waitress was exceedingly nice, the food was solid and the wait was little. Â The tres leches was not to my liking. Â They had a cake I wasn't fond of underneath it. Â Overall I will be back to give it another shot and review in more detail. Â All meals are home made according to the waitress.
Review Source:The food is AMAZING. Â I wish I could give it 10 stars. Â I recently visited my family and my parents took me here for my birthday dinner. Â Holy cow I want to move to Franktown now just to eat here more often. Â The nachos were piled high and oh my word the beef was so good. Â Chicken quesadillas - divine. Â I had the Chili Relleno and it was fabulous. Â My brother had the steak and I hear the carnitas are out of this world. Â BUT, you must have a margarita on the rocks (the best one I've ever had) and finish with the peanut butter pie. Â The owner and staff are over the top sweet and the restaurant is as charming as the owner. Â Â If you love Mexican Food you should give this one a try. Â You won't be disappointed! Â Even the booth covers are amazing.
Review Source:We have been to this small family owned restaurant a few times now. The atmosphere is enjoyable, they really seem to care about their customers. The owner came and spoke to us and most customers in person. I liked that. The food is pretty darn good, the carnitas tacos especially (just my personal favorite). We've had the fajitas and my husband has tried the pesto chicken and it got his approval. He also raved about the mole. The poblano rice is a nice change from the traditional you get everywhere else. It's kind of similar to a sticky rice with a fresh flavor. We will definately keep going back. If you are ever near Franktown I whole heartedly recommend this young but growing restaurant.
Review Source:I was hesitant in visiting this little restaurant due to an earlier review but friends were persistent in going. Â Am I glad that we did, it was clean, the staff which is all family were nice and helpful. Â Everything we tried was fresh and delicious! Â We are all native Texans and while this is authentic Cali Mexican food we loved it! Â The carnitas were full of flavor, the nightly special of gorditas was a huge hit with two of us and my 3 year old loved her quesadilla and the grilled shrimp appetizer as well as the poblano rice! Â I haven't had poblano rice since I lived in San Diego- not your ordinary firm Mexican rice, a little wetter but oh so good! Â Adriana's has only been open two weeks?? Â They are doing a great job and we will be regulars!
Review Source:The bad: Both plates arrived 50 minutes after ordering- and they were cool- not as in  not hot. My chicken enchilada was about as thick as my thumb, and I have skinny thumbs. I have never seen an enchilada that scrawny. Inside was shredded chicken- unseasoned, flavorless chicken- no sauce, no cheese- nothing but chicken. The rice is gooey and bland- no flavor! Same with the beans- no taste whatsoever. My chili relleno was not a stuffed chili pepper but was a tiny sliver of a chili pepper, thinly battered. This is what I would expect of a Swanson frozen dinner. Where is the flavor? Where is the yummy seasonings? Onion, garlic, chili, cilantro, heck even salt and pepper would provide something- everything was absolutely tasteless. If you order the 3 taco combo, all 3 have to be the same meat- there is no flexibility there. The beef is ground beef- gringo style.
The good: lettuce was fresh and Romaine, the crispy taco shell was made on site.
More bad: the napkins are the type you used to get at the school cafeteria, thin, tiny, they disintegrate at first use- so bring your own. The tortilla chips are unsalted and had an overcooked taste, like generic chips were heated on site.
Still more bad: one of the waitresses stomps her feet as she walks on the raised floor- and she goes back and forth a million times. No one else stomps, not the other waitress, not the customers- it is like nails on a chalkboard- stomp, stomp, stomp while you wait a loooong time for your food.
Even worse: The tables and benches were not wiped off between customers during our visit. Â The men's restroom had no soap. Someone wiped and instead of flushing they put it into the trash- you see this in TJ but not in Colorado- this was repulsive enough that my husband would not finish his food, we just paid and left.
My advice to the owners: do an hourly bathroom check, hire someone to clear the tables and clean them before the next person uses them, show Colorado what real Mexican cooking tastes like and smells like- there are enough transplanted Californians and Texans out here to know and we will tell everyone that CO finally has a great place to eat Mexican food, if certain entrees are too pricey to profit from like enchiladas or relleno- just take them off the menu instead of serving it skimpy.
